Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 16/3/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your wondering when perhaps something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do occasionally change it's format from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as it's important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 16/3/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today...?

Thank you to those who have handed some extra support these last few days on trying to reach dolphin if you have read my monthly report then you may already know we are under 50-SP away from reaching dolphin I wont continue the count down anyway further on the SP needed. And so the next post on the topic will be the announcement post when we finally get there! So please keep any support you can coming, and I will see you on the other side. Anyway so on March 10th this year we saw Steem reach $0.55 which is the highest so far for 2019, we also had on the 13th of March marking the highest reached for SBD's at $1.41 this year. With Bitcoins 4 days ago we recovered with an upwave taking us from $3797 to $3867 we got back what we had lost and yesterday we continued going upwards to around $3891 today we have gone past the $4000 mark. With Steem unless you haven't been paying attention you will know it's been going upwards lately we beat the January high and so reaching $0.55 on March 10th which made it the highest new Steem price for 2019. We are already in a good place, Steem as been seen around position #40 amongst all the other cryptos. But as for Steem today we had what looked like a good start as you know yesterday we was around $0.46 and we started at $0.47 very quickly by ⏰00.15 Steem raced to $0.48. It moved quickly enough to give the impression Steem was going to hit the $0.50 mark today, but it didn't happen instead it fell to $0.47 then at ⏰00.50 it recovered to $0.48 this didn't last and fell back to $0.47 and it stayed there all morning. There was only movement at ⏰12.45 but it was Steem falling to $0.46 which is where it as stayed and so today almost everything happend in the first hour. Anyway if not too much happens in 2019 then I hope those who are still in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting Steem. The good news is enough as happened for us to all breathe better as Steem is no longer in survival mode, we have made it out of that era! But still the conclusion from all this is to continue the cut of the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. Ned also said that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. Not sure if anybody else as noticed but Steemit as been acting a little weird lately with errors and long loading time's, this is because Steemit.com has been subjected to a DDoS attack again, the Steemit INC Team are working to counter the attack so please have patience if this happens to you. Steem is also now available for trading on the Huobi marketplace so if you are a U.S. resident just go to huobi.com, if you are anywhere else you could try Huobi global at hbg.com. Also if you still don't understand how your private keys work or are relatively new to Steemit you can go to the Steemitblog account for a more recent official explanation. For SBD's you may remember they also broke record March 13th reaching $1.41! Currently SBD's are at a higher then average pegged rate, as for today SBD's started a little better at $1.08 by ⏰00.15 it got to $1.09 and at ⏰00.25 hit $1.10. It was looking good for the first hour but at ⏰03.40 it went down to $1.06 this was not too bad as it recovered quickly and got a little higher at ⏰07.25 reaching $1.11 which was the highest for today but same it didn't stay and it soon started going down but slowly. By ⏰11.45 SBD's were back to $1.06 and the lowest was $1.04 which happened about one hour ago.
