Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 3/12/2018 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 3/12/2018

Should you be trading with Steem today..

We saw Steem reach $0.36 yesterday after the price update 👍 but this was not for long and expected as soon after Steem started doing what it's done for the whole day which was going downwards. Steem as not been this low since Nov 27th 👍 I did mention yesterday that if the patterned continued we should expect to be lower today and that of course makes it a good opportunity to buy into Steem 👍 if you still believe in its potential. I say this as many are shaken by the bomb Ned dropped to which I now welcome you into a new survival mode era on Steemit. Because of Bitcoin dropping alot lately it as been forcing Steem's own value to tank downwards and thereby causing some catastrophical affects for Steem INC. For example the revelation that Steem INC have been forced to lay-off around %70 staff members. Soon after this there was a special live get-together for discussing what could happen going forward. We are now in a place where costs are a major problem the Steem INC team will now look into ways to cut their costs. E.g firstly there will be upcoming changes to the "api.steemit.com" e.g. "tags" and "follow" plugins from full nodes, these functionalities will be moved to the hivemind service. Hopefully these changes will help cut a good percent of costs moving forwards. Taking a look at Bitcoin it's still following the pattern and so as expected its fallen under the $4000 mark today, this happened around ⏰2.10 / SBD also had the same bump after the price update taking it nicely over the $0.90 mark at $0.92 but of course like the other bumps this one was also quick as two hours later we saw SBD at under the $0.80 mark at would you believe $0.79 which was disappointing and unexpected but regardless still a calm day for SBD.
