New Social Media Platform on the EOS Blockchain - a Steemit killer?
So I read this article on Coindesk about the founders of EOS launching a Steemit competitor.
What I wanted to do is:
- Ask what you think about it?
- And share my thoughts
This is and will be a competition to a large or smaller degree (depending on their design of the platform).
Still, I believe the winner will come down to:
- community
- further developments
- and dedication.
We here on Steemit have an advantage in terms of community and time/experience.
They have a nice underlying tech (plus Dan Larimar I guess) and large funds as well as great marketing.
But never underestimate a vibrant community!
At the end I think there will be multiple platforms, still we have to watch closely and if necessary adapt their developments (like Instagram did with stories competing against snapchat).

Thanks for a nice post @src3, in my view if they are focusing on killing Steem then they will never make it, I think a real goal is better, focus on topping Facebook and the centralized platforms instead.

Agree, all good things in competitor apps need to be implemented in Steemit, to be on top
