IMO, surviving on SteemIt is about being too stubborn to give up. :0)
And to find like minded people, who are too stubborn to give up too. And then get your heads together and work something out.

I’ve been networking intensively since I came here, and if it weren’t about the people I met, the initiatives we started to support each other and the little guys, I think I would have given up a long time ago.

The day I realized I didn’t care for the money anymore, that it was all about the community, was the day I learned that I will probably survive on SteemIt, one way or the other.

Instead of focusing on the lack of help from the top - which, if it would be different, could help many survive - we are focusing on building a strong community that is all about supporting each other and paying it forward.

The only way we can survive SteemIt is together.

That's true that networking is really important and i saw that you are good at networking and promoting and helping other steemians, and that's a great step for your bright future on Steemit, iam sure you are going to archive more success here.

I think surviving on steemit isn't exactly impossible. It is just quite hard because the community has grown a lot with a number of users, so it will take a while for one to get noticed. That being said, I believe the newbies also have to take steps into being noticed (aside from putting up nice and engaging content) by engaging in other people's post by dropping comments on other people's post and joining other communities that help towards growth. So, in my opinion, growth on steemit isn't impossible, it just needs a little bit of work.

Ya that's true because we have do to Smartwork instead of Hardwork on Steemit and the competition is still a bit low because even though we hit 1 Million Accounts but only 5-10% are active account here and we cannot imagine the level of competition here if all these accounts are active users.

That's true though....

Godo topic, I have to say its hard to survive is no one supported you in here, as it may take months or so to get to know people and people get to know you. so I found that replying to other people posts and sharing thoughts is good way to make friend and relate and upvote

Way to make friends

Ya that's true because good things take time.

I'm not here for the money, well, partially, since it's a feature of the platform, why the hell not, but still. I firmly believe that the concept of good content up here is too attached to what societal norms want it to be, and not what the community wants it to be. I've probably hammered the hell out of this point, however, it seems not that I've managed to drive it home. We still have a problem where seemingly the developers who took all the steem when the platform was born, and now there isn't enough for us who have joined up later, and like the Drow matron mothers, or the white dragons from the forgotten realms, the devs in some cases don't care at all for the minnos. I mean, there are some that do, as in all societies, but most don't. I can name a few; @good-karma, @steemitblog, and some others. I'll think of more when I find them. In terms of survival, unless you've been here from the beginning, you've got no chance. I don't know frankly how much longer I'll even be up here when my personal blog gets back up.

I have good hopes of me emerging a successful actor here. Those who grudge about getting no support are the ones who might not have made any single post in the last 20 days! There are myriads of opportunities lies out here for one to get noticed and inturns become successful. I personally never expect the upvote of anyone, neither I do use bidbots even if my posts read $0.00!. Let those who like my publishings come and vote me. I don't care!

If one has the talent and dedication it is not impossible to develop here. We have communities like #steemstem here. Projects like #utopian-io is here.

Ya that's true we already have all the answers of our problems on the platform itself and still we are asking for solutions, thanks for your feedback buddy.

Minnows, new steemit starters, can survive if they know the several methods of increasing their steem power to the extent that it will earn them more than their salary at work.

Let me start by saying, the MOST IMPORTANT THING on steemit is steem power...without it, life on steemit can be more than frustrating.
So the question is...how can we increase our steem power.

Many steemians will tell you to write good post. Good!!! But, writing good post alone will get you more frustrated. You need steemians with high steem power, i mean those who will upvote your post with a good vote weight that will increase your steem power.
To have the chance of seeing people like this...go to www.steemfollowers.com
Join with your steemit account...write good post, upvote 10 good post per day...and you will receive upvotes from different steemians, who wont mind to give you 100% of their voteweight, with nice steem power.

Secondly, dont post everyday, wait for your post to grow day by day till the 5th day before you post again. Mind you if you dont see good SBD on the 3rd day, write another post.

VERY IMPORTANT...comment everyday on new post up to about 100 post...and you will make good SBD per day. Most of us minnow steemians earn more money commenting than posting.

Finally, dont power up all the SBD you make when you post...always keep at least 5 SBD in your steemit account. Then, visit the marketplace of steemfollower. Join the marketplace...buy 100,000 author point at 2.9 SBD, split the 100,000 to 10...the owner will charge 10%, so you will have 9 splits - equals 90,000...sell 10,000 in 9 places for 0.36 each.
After selling the 9 within days, you will make about 0.198 SBD after selling fee has been taken.
Rinse and repeat this process, to keep getting SBD and steem power till you will have enough steem power that when you upvote in steemfollower, it will give you millions of authorpoints for you to sell.

Before you realize what you are doing...YOU ARE ALREADY A WHALE.

Well iam agree with your thinking about having more Steempower is important because this is the main fuel behind this platform and if you have enough of this then you don't need more people to support you, but iam not very much agree with your other thinking about post in 5 days and that SBD earning strategy,

Because when you are new you have to be consistent and active to build relationships and getting audience and if you cannot do this then you are going to face very slow growth in your Steemit Account, and iam not sure by buying aome author point we can become a whale because i believe in reality, but best of luck for all your strategies.😇

surviving on a steemit is a daunting task. But it's easire if you have good connection and linking ability. It's all about how you make relation with fellow steemians. how you enggage with other follow steemians. If you make some good bonding with people it's a piece of cake otherwise it's difficult to survive.

You hit the right point because most of the steemians are chasing for rewards instead of focusing on building relationships with others because that's the most easiest way to survive here without any problems.

Building connections and developing interest helps a lot. I Guess.
Steem power also plays a great role
