Pay It Forward - Where were they... and where are they now? (Weeks 3 & 5)
I've decided to do a small review of my earliest entries into this contest, and check how the featured newbies are faring on SteemIt, after 2 months.
I've started participating in the Pay It Forward Contest very early, in April 2018, on Week 3 into the contest. For those who don't know yet, Pay It Forward Contest is an initiative started by @thedarkhorse, now hosted by the account @pifc with the goal of finding undervalued talented people and giving them some extra exposure.
On Week 3, I've featured @lesploratore, @natashamoscow & @cebuvibes and on Week 5, I've featured @sscrow, @nikonat & @alcidsmujica
Let's see how they are doing now. I'm eager to know if 2 months were enough for any meaningful change - for any of them. Here we go...

We need to start using the #pifc tag instead of #payitforward
Why the change? I think pifc is not very clear, unless you already know about the contest. Maybe I'll use both.
The contest now has an account (pifc). it was the only name available. as the new account comes online so will the #tag and getting the word out will be important. Currently we are using both tags to keep up and that has to change with one tag.

Will be curious to see how the progression of your bloggers goes from your first entries until more current ones. Feel like many people have gotten much better at spotting talent then at first so would expect them to stay active longer.
Yes, I think so, too. Still, I'm kind of sad @sscrow didn't understood the concept of this network. Her original works are great... but she totally failed on the interaction part. She rarely responded to people who supported her and, from what I've saw, she didn't look for other posts to vote on, as well... She built her own island. 😑
You need to be on top of replying to others. You can miss some comments, but not many or people will just stop engaging with you. Plus it's impossible to build up a following without going out and finding new people to interact with. This isn't a natural thing for most people so we have a lot of good people come and go.
And... she's back. I've just updated the post. 😃
