24 Hour Contest: SEO homework
Alright this is going to be a boring one. Who knows anything about SEO? It stands for search engine optimization. It is very important for bloggers and a site like steemit as it helps your post getting higher in search on google and bing. Why does this matter for steemit? Well the more SEO friendly articles on here the more people visit the site. So for this contest write something you know or learned about SEO that can make people's articles better. I am sure it will be a lot of the same answers so I will pick the ones that are the most article.

I just did some SEO fro a client yesterday and it is on top of my mind at the moment.
Some of the keys to SEO include:
*Accurate info - I make sure that all the information (hours of operation, syntax of business name, address, phone number etc) is accurate and match on all pages/sites. I am not sure the translation here except make sure you are consistent and accurate in your blogs.
I could go on but many have stopped reading already!

Well since steemit doesn’t allow for much customization in terms of what is displayed in search id say your blog title is extremely important it’s the one thing you can control and display in search so making sure it is well written and includes keywords that have high search volume are very important
Also try to keep your title less that’s 55 characters so it display correctly on both desktop and mobile search result pages
It is also important to use on page mark ups like your H2 and H3 tags to break down your content to allow crawlers and readers to skim the article to find relevant content pertaining to their specific keyword

In steemit, I do not know the ways to optimize SEO, being honest. However, I can say that if you go to the Google search engine and look for something related to steemit, the first thing that appears is our articles, I noticed that especially the articles that have more time are taken into account, of course. The title is the most relevant for search engines.

SEO is a way of optimizing a website,web page or a web resource in a way so the search engine can place and rank it in a proper way that makes it easier for everyone to find it over the internet.
There's a lot to say about SEO, but I think the most important thing is that it allows your website's content to pop up in the top results when a using a search engine that way you get more people to visit your website and discover your content.
