A Voice Of Steemit

As a new writer, an aspiring author, someone really just interested in creating and expressing an interpretation of life, I had been asked to join a group of other writers. I am dedicated to my writing, and simple drawings to depict this. Constantly a flow of improvement and a deep desire to be a better writer every day.

Well, I joined. Kept writing, gave what little attention between work, my daughter, and the slew of stories I've been producing, to the group. Well. We all know how it goes. Only certain folks within a group -for the most part- receive the benefits of the membership. Some curation and communities are certainly more open to outside influence and talent.

Now, don't get me wrong, I am sure my talent is not beyond another, I think as beings, we can be brilliant in anything we choose to be. Regardless, I diverge from my intent with this post and we shall veer back into the headlights of a vision.

You see, there is great power in the delegation and offering of an individual's influence to a group. In fact, throughout history this has proven to be true. Generally. I will continue to promote, upvote, and give my support to work that I feel coincides with my vision.

Steemit, offers another way.

I have decided, my vote, is mine. I shall not delegate. I am me, and through ALL my actions on @steemit I will be the voice of my vote, my work and the perspective I offer for all to read, see and critique. Through time, my influence(SP) will grow. I hope to draw a following, interested in stories, in fiction, in imagination.

I will no longer jump behind that which has momentum. I am my own momentum, as are each of you. There are certainly projects with visions that coincide with mine, like @curie. But how I see Steemit working is a sea of visions, each unique, using their influence in a true manor.

Of course, one thing preludes all of this, money. There is more money in delegation, less work, it is easier. But the easy way...

Write on, create on. Beware, A Writer of Age is about. Stories are afoot, an opinion grows, perspective is everything...

Thank you for reading. Each small story I write, is a piece to the world that grows, Rangforne. Your attention, comments, just the act of reading through this, is greatly appreciated. These short stories, are brief glimpses of the world to come. Come along, there are stories afoot, tales to tell and wonder to behold. Terrors and those that would face them, and the journey it takes to get there.

Welcome to my small corner of the world. Pull up a seat, we have boundless room. Here at Catylist Inn there is room for all.

You are helping me in the journey of my story, it is just beginning. These tales will paint the world I write in just a little more. I am indebted to you my audience, I write for myself, to grow. For you, my readers. For purpose, life. Thank you. Follow more stories @writerofage Rangforne awaits…

Not your usual story but I enjoyed reading it. Everything you said makes sense. I will use my own votes too, once they become worth something. I use them now, but they don't make much difference. I have been on steemit almost 2 months now so I am still somewhat new. I know that you said you are no longer delegating but I wondered if you could give me some advice. I understand how delegation works as well as curating but I was wondering how do I get someone to delegate to me? I have never asked anyone or even mentioned delegation but I do know that it would help me achieve my goals a lot faster. I am super broke right now so I have nothing to invest into steemit but time. I realize that an investment of money would boost my sp and therfore my success but I just don't have it right now. I haven't been on discord yet because I am blogging from my phone with low speed (3g). Any insite or help would be greatly appreciated. Again, wonderful article and I love reading your stories as well as seeing the reviews that you post. Thank you in advance, and keep up the good work.

Thank you @big.ock yes this post was a bit off the normal track for me. Something I have thought over.
As far as delegation goes, I do not know how one would receive delegation. I think that going through the process with one in place would shed light on it. Like buildawhale. Thank you for reading and following along!

Being off the normal track isnt a bad thing. Variety is the spice of life.
