Just a rainy day. (er week?!?)
The sky is dark and raining and the trees are blowing around. We lose power here a lot and I'm currently charging my phone and laptop in anticipation of the predictable power outage. 
There isn't much sun in the forecast.
I have been spending my day cleaning and watching "The Waltons."
I like the nostalgia. There is a way they had of living life that just seems more pure than the way we live now. I know it couldn't have been an easy life. I think about common things like making dinner. I have had a pork roast slow cooking in the oven all day. I went to the store and bought the roast, seasoned it with Adobo and put it in the oven. I turned the oven on with the push of a button. While our dinner is cooking my air conditioner runs keeping my house cool.

I didn't have to heat my oven with wood, (or kill my pig) I can enjoy an even temperature in my house while dinner is cooking. When its done I can refrigerate leftovers.
I hope I can enjoy the comforts of electricity for the rest of the week. If the power goes out I won't be watching "The Waltons", but I guarantee I will be thinking about them.
