What a beauty

Most people know the flower "black eyed susie" with its lovely pale yellow flowers and black centre, there is also a white variety which is very pretty too.
However, I think this one is the most beautiful - called the "red eyed susie".

To my mind, it is a real show stopper.
These plants look stunning in hanging baskets, tumbling over fences or climbing up a trellis.

They self seed so once you have them in the garden, you will find baby plants in many different places.
The plants like a sunny position and a well drained soil - they are not heavy feeders, so nice organic compost will be just fine for their growth.

If the plants look a bit straggly by the end of the growing season, simply cut them back and new growth will appear.
Many seeds will have fallen during the season and come spring the new plants will emerge.
They are a delicate looking creeper and well worth having in the garden producing many beautiful flowers.
