I remember how much fun was to eat ice creams when we were kids. Ice cream dripping all over your face, your mom yelling that she'll have to wash your cloths again but who cares! You are all into it and forget everything around you.

That's the idea of this comic when everyone but Pinky is licking rainbow-colored ice cream off the ground. Betsy and Victor, Cornelius and Dietrich and even Spiky. Especially Spiky. He is happy that they have entire ice cream lake.

I drew this comic yesterday for Artstorm contest when the theme was "Ice Cream". I wanted to draw something strange, something which maybe would be different from other entries.

As I sat on my armchair with the pen in my hand ready to draw, an idea came to me to draw Pinky with a big cone of ice cream which she would hold with both hands. Her tongue would be huge and her eyes looking greedily at the other members of the family. And they are all gathered around the spilled ice-cream and licking.

The scene came to me probably from the image in our country cottage where cats and other animals would gather around milk container in the evening when the women came back from milking the cows and ready to distribute milk to everyone.

Interestingly, cats would patiently wait until a family of hedgehogs would be satisfied. No one would want to have a try at those spikes... By the way, did you know that hedgehogs are lactose intolerant?
