Green to Yellow - My Rippen Rice Fields

in #steemitbloggers5 years ago

Over the last few months , I have shared many glimpses of my Paddys fields. The lush Green fields all around are quite beautiful and looks very attractive. You won't believe, for few days I hardly manage to see any other color in my village. It looks like the fields were all painted in Green by God.

The good part is that, even we have inadequate rainfall this year, our farmers manage to irrigate the farm lands through boring or through running water from nearby ponds. The hard work paid off with few of the farms are fully grown into the beautiful Grains.

In our native areas, Rice is the staple crop, and the entire region is involved in Rice farming. The process of farming starts with the first heavy rainfall. The farmers plough up tye fields, and then manually sow the land with paddys. Those time were qyite interesting to watch. Everyone was busy in their own fields in deep knee water for sowing the Rice plants. I remember , I did taken a round during the rainy days abd notice the muddy body of village people. Though that much rain is not enough, and rice farming require more water to stay in the fields area. These water help them to grow properly and give good yeilds.

After putting so much effort, our farmers able to see some greenary in their fields. But this time it is not the rainwater but because of the manual water irrigation they applied to get some paddy yeilds. The effort is quite been seen with Greenary around the paddy fields.

After giving much time and care in the fields, the paddys have started to ripe. The Green Fields are slowly turning into Yellow look. The yellow looks resembles of Golden look throughout the area. I was surprise to see tye nature magic, as the Green fields has started to turn into Golden Yellow within few months.

The yellow colors indicates the starting of cutting season of these paddys. Soon as they started to ripe over the fields, and started to loose the green charm, the paddys will be ready to ve cut. As the days goes on, I would love to share tye otger process that are involves in cutting and grain seperation.

There are many manual intervention involved and hopefully it would be an interesting read . so watch out for coming days for more farming details.

I am really excited at seeing this post. It reminded me of the experience I had when I and some friends went for a volunteer assignment in some rural areas around August.

The village there cultivates Rice a lot although they used little mechanization in doing so.

I even took some shots while there.

This grew up in someone's home from a drop of the rice grains they brought home.

They cook the rice before taking it to the mill.

I will love to see your other posts on this. Thanks for making my weekend alive with the memory.

So cool showing the changing color of the seasons

It's good when all your hard work pays off

You have a wonderful farm. It must be so much of an effort growing a crop but when it's harvested you feel so much accomplished with the results.
