🎉Happy Diwali🌟- Evening Lakshmi Puja on Diwali !

in #steemitbloggers5 years ago

Happy Diwali to all my dear Steemians. May the blessing of goddess Lakshmi bring prosperity and happiness in everyones life.

Diwali is not only the festival of Lights. One of the important event during Diwali festival is worshiping Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi to bring Good fortune and wealth. Every Hindu famiky arrange the puja at home so does I.

The photographs were taken from the opposite end as my brother is doing all the puja rituals from the front end. All the arrangement were made and tge place is well organised with all the offerrings. The idol of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi were placed in a tool well covered with red cloth and marigold garland.

Our family priest (Brahmin) is doing allbthe arrangements to make sure to have all the offering made in place. He started the puja by placing a metal pot in front of the God, and covered it with Mango Leafes and then Apple, ( generaly in place of apple we use to have Coconut, but due to shortage we did a makeshift arrangement). These were considered very pure and auspicious.

The other offering include, flowers, fruits and sweets. We keep everything ready in a bowl so that the puja get completed without any hitch.

We made sure every famiky member attend the rituals, so that theeveryone should get all the equal blessings. After the successful completition of Puja, we start to lit the Diyas (earthern lamps) . We use pure Ghee for those which will be placed near the goddess and the rest that were placed at different corners of home , we use normal refined oil.

By this way, we spend the Diwali evening by performing the Puja at home to get blessing from the God and Goddess.

HAPPY DIWALI

Yes sure @mikeycolon sorry for late reply. You can understand how chaos a festival coukd be in India. Bit photography i would suggest you to visit Varanasi. There is a special festival made ever year after 10 days of Diwali at the banks of River Ganga and whole ghats were illuminated with lamps....it looks amazing and good feel factor
