Chocolate Banana Loaf // Kue Pisang Rasa Cokelat

Hey there :)


What a nice day we are having here, been watching the boys shoveling snow since morning hahaha, but at least it's bright outside.

We got to go out earlier and grabbed more sweaters and winter gloves. Snow is sticking, winter is here for us up north BC Canada lol

We missed the pumpkin plunge this year and instead we went to a Christmas bazaar where mommy had a brain fart. I thought both of events were today, so I said let's just go to the bazaar instead the plunge, but bazaar was not today but tomorrow and when we went to the plunge it was over already, ah well.

Now enough about our day, I have a banana bread recipe to share :D

Hari ini aku ada resep untuk buat kue bolu pisang.

Disini sih disebutnya roti, tapi menurutku kalau di Indonesia lebih tepatnya bolu pisang, karena teksturnya lebih ke kue bolu ketimbang roti :)

Kali ini bolu pisang ini kuberi bubuk cokelat dan juga kusiram cokelat atasnya.

Cokelat siram yang kupakai sih rasa bittersweet, teman tentunya boleh pakai rasa apapun sesuai kesenangan teman, bahkan tidak pakai pun tetap enak. Aku hanya ingin menghabiskan stok di dapur sebelum masa kadaluarsanya tiba wkwkwkw

Yuk ditengok resepnya dibawah kalau teman mau ikutan buat juga, mudah dan bener deh, uenak tenan kata orang Jawa hihihihi

This banana bread is chocolate flavored and also topped with chocolate ganache. You can omit the ganache if you don't want to, it's good either way, but I was just missing Starbucks chocolate cake and having ganache as the topping on this following banana bread was very nice :)

- 1 1/2 c flour
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/3 c cocoa powder
- 1 tsp bSoda
- a pinch of Himalayan salt
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice + enough nut milk to make 1 c
- 1/3 c vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla essence

Di gelas ukuran, tuang 1 1/2 sdm jus lemon, lalu tuang susu hingga menunjukkan 1 gelas penuh, sisihkan hingga mulai berubah tekstur (agak bergumpal)--> ini disebut susu asam/buttermilk

- 1 1/2 gelas terigu
- 1/2 gelas gula pasir
- 1/3 gelas cokelat bubuk
- 1 sdt soda kue
- sejumput garam
- 2 buah pisang matang
- 1 gelas buttermilk (resep diatas tadi yak)
- 1/3 gelas minyak goreng
- 2 sdt perisa vanila
- 2 genggam kacang walnut, hancurkan

- Mix wet ingredients and mash in bananas
- Mix dry ingredients, then add in 2 handful walnut, crushed
- Mix wet into dry and pour into greased loaf pan

- Lumatkan pisang dan campurkan dengan bahan basah lainnya
- Campur bahan kering dan tambahkan kacang walnut
- Campur keduanya dan tuang pada loyang yang sudah di beri sedikit minyak

- Bake loaf on preheated 350 F convection oven for 55 mins
- Cool on rack then pour ganache on top
- You can use any kinds of chocolates for ganache, but I use 170 g bittersweet DF chocolate, soaked in 150 ml hot boiling water, mix to melt and let stand until desired thickness before pouring

- Panggang pada oven yang sudah dipanaskan terlebih dahulu 350 F, selama 55 menit
- Dinginkan di rak kawat sebelum disiram cokelat
- Untuk cokelat, tuang susu/krim/air panas 150 ml ke 170 g cokelat, aduk hingga meleleh. Diamkan hingga agak mengental sebelum dituang ke atas bolu yak

can be done in regular oven, even stove top oven ;-)

Snow already, I thought I was hard done to with a bit of frost on the windscreen last week!

A little mix up with events is easy, I'm always trying to go to things that happened a week earlier by mistake! But there is always something happening near by so the trip is never wasted.

Chocolate banana cake? With walnuts - this sounds like a dream for me. You cook up some amazing delights - one day I will have to try some of these amazing recipes.

Oh lovie, it's -14 here today got crazy snow storm Thursday night. Brr! I threw together the banana loaf!

And, it's baking in the oven. I don't have chocolate for ganache i have candied pecans and will add some toasted walnuts. Yum!! Looking forward to it. Oh! Haha i forgot to add b. Soda whoopsie! And, i added eggs for protien boost i have a boy in his growth spurt and it helps make the cake more filling i find it more satiating i guess.
