Santa Claus Parade 2018 // Parade Sinterklas
Hi Friends!
Last weekend we went to see Santa Claus parade and for once, it was not too windy, was not snowing, was not freezing your nuts, literally lol It was very enjoyable and the floats were pretty good this year.
My youngest had a lot of fun for sure, being friendly to anyone, singing and dancing, and would shout "Merry Christmas" VERY loudly, to anyone who wished him that evening. He's awesome haha

Hari ini aku mau berbagi beberapa foto yang kuambil pas parade Sinterklas hari Sabtu tadi.
Anakku yang bungsu sibuk nyanyi dan joget-joget sepanjang parade, paling heboh sendiri dia hahaha
Parade Sinterklas ini diadakan setiap tahunnya, menyambut Natal dan kali ini aku keasikan merekam video ketimbang foto-foto, jadi tak banyak yang bisa aku unggah.
I made vids instead taking pictures during the parade, so I do not really have many pictures to share, unfortunately, and somehow am too lazy to upload any of the vids to dTube, not fond of the idea that they are not that accessible anymore should the vids do not make high rewards here, kind of useless somehow IMO lol
Anyways, here are some pictures that were actually from screenshots of the videos I took hahah Sorry :P

Waktu aku bongkar-bongkar baru sadar, foto-foto yang kuambil pada ga seru, karena itu dia, kesibukan bikin video, jadi tadi nonton satu-satu deh, dan ku potong beberapa bagian untuk blog kali ini hehe
The good thing about having a parade when it's dusk time is that the lighted floats are very Christmassy feeling, don't you think? I remember floats in Montreal, Quebec, were never at evening time because of the cold Winter, so they never really had colorful lights, but Winter up north can be so brutal sometimes that evening parade felt like torture years past hahaha This year tho, thank goodness for mild Winter, totally enjoyable!
Dulu ketika masih bermukim di kota lain, di provinsi lain tuh, parade Sinterklasnya seringnya siang/sore hari, karena musim Dingin di Kanada kan dingin banget tuh, jadi mereka paradenya siang hari biar ga terlalu dingin. Nah ketika pindah ke kota ini, kaget euy, paradenya selalu pas matahari sudah terbenam, padahal kami di utara Kanada, jauh lebih dingin ketimbang Kanada provinsi lain. Namun memang kalau parade malam-malam, bagus banget pakai lampu warna-warni.

Yay for the mild winter XD I'm impressed you made it out at all in any harsher winters, I would have just piked XP
actually wouldn't live in a place like Canada because I would die in winter never mind how beautiful it is otherwise XD

seriously mild, am totally happy driving here and there, not scared and nervous since the road isnt covered with thick snow whatsoever
the strong winds coming tho :( its 70 km/hour today, which means cold days will return soon

Where I stay, we don't really have parades as its not a common thing to hold such activities so thanks for sharing these awesome photos with us

I missed Santa's parade we had here in Montreal. I t was in November and it totally slipped my mind. My son would have loved it.
yes always in November as December is just too bloody cold

I lived in Montreal for some years. Sometimes I miss it but sometimes I remember the city life there is quite a lonely one.
