La prevención de accidentes en el jardín de infancia.

Children are usually very prone to accidents in school, any event that affects children, however slight, can cause suffering in them, which should be avoided; If adults take a preventive attitude, many accidents could be avoided.

Los niños suelen ser muy propensos a tener accidentes en la escuela, cualquier evento que afecte a los niños por muy leve que sea, puede provocar sufrimiento en ellos, lo cual hay que evitar; si los adultos toman una actitud preventiva, muchos accidentes se podrían evitar.

The school must provide an adequate and safe space for the child, therefore, it is very important that the teacher becomes an agent of prevention, taking care and teaching the children about what should or should not touch, eat or drink, and also the teacher should share with the family about safety rules for the prevention of accidents both at home and at school.

La escuela debe brindar un espacio adecuado y seguro para el niño, por ello, es muy importante que el docente se convierta en un agente de prevención, cuidando y enseñando a los niños sobre lo que debe o no tocar, comer o beber, e igualmente el maestro debe compartir con la familia sobre normas de seguridad para la prevención de accidentes tanto en su hogar como en la escuela.

Los toma corrientes en el aula, deben ser colocados a una altura suficiente, de manera que los niños no los puedan alcanzar.

Dentro del aula no deben existir objetos de vidrios tales como jarrones decorativos, vidrios en puertas de gabinetes o cualquier otro objeto de vidrio.

Se debe evitar que los muebles existentes en el aula, no tengan puntas ni partes filosas.

Es necesario que como medida de seguridad, fijar a la pared los gabinetes, archivadores o estanterías para bibliotecas.

En caso de la utilización de ventiladores, estos deben fijarse en las paredes o techos; evitar aquellos de mesa o de pedestales porque así evitaremos que los niños puedan tocas el aspa con sus dedos.

Mantener los medicamentos, productos de limpieza o cualquier otra sustancia peligrosa, fuera del alcance de los niños.

Es importante que en el aula exista un botiquín de primeros auxilios; si bien con este no se previenen accidentes, debemos darle un lugar importante en cada sala. Para que se pueda identificar, colocarle una cruz roja. El grupo decidirá el lugar más adecuado para ubicarlo.

No dejar los niños cuando vayan solos al baño, pues son frecuente las caídas al tratar de quitarse o ponerse la ropa.

El niño generalmente suelen llevarse a la boca cualquier objeto pequeño a la boca, por ello es importante revisar todos los juguetes que el niño lleva en su mochila, para evitar aquellos que sean que se formen con piezas pequeñas, como el caso de los legos, de esta manera evitaremos que el niño los pueda tragar.

Revisar la lonchera, con la finalidad de evitar que contenga alguna fruta con semillas que el niño pueda tragársela, un ejemplo sería el durazno o cualquiera otra fruta con semilla dura, que al tragarla pueda causar obstrucción en la garganta.

El maestro debe enseñar al niño, que no debe morder el borrador.

En caso de que el niño por alguna enfermedad, tenga que tomar algún medicamento, es responsabilidad del padre comunicárselo no solo al maestro sino a la institución, porque estos casos son muy delicados y que el maestro no puede asumir esta responsabilidad, esto le compete es solo al padre y lo que decida la institución; debemos entender que los docentes al recibir su título como profesional docente, no se les otorga permiso para medicar algún o aplicar algún tratamiento como: jarabes, pastillas o cualquier otro remedio o tratamientos, pues esto se considerara ría que el docente hizo ejercicio ilegal de la medicina, lo que traería severas consecuencias para su profesión.

Los padres deben evitar que sus hijos lleven al jardín, chupetas de bolitas, ya que estas pueden provocar atragantamientos y ahogo, con consecuencias fatales.

Los padres deben enviar a sus hijos con ropas cómodas, evitando el uso de pantalones con cierres, pues estos pueden engancharse en la piel.
