Improve on your listening habit. Do not multitask while listening. Focus on the speaker. reaction when you are listening to someone. Even if you are not listening to them, pretend like you are by turning your head, making eye contact, nodding, tilting your head etc. These nonverbal ways project a state of utmost concentration.

3. Shake hands:

Touch is another non-verbal action that can create a human bond in the fraction of the seconds. A solid handshake is a universal sign of confidence. When you are at your workplace, a warm handshake can leave a long lasting impression on others. Shaking hands and how you do it is an important part of your body language repertoire.

4. Smile:

A genuine smile says a lot about you and about how you are feeling at that moment. lt makes your eyes crinkle and brightens up your face. Usually, when you smile at someone, the person smiles back and this can be an icebreaker. Smiling can be good therapy even for you when you feel down.

5. Gesticulate:

Hand gestures while talking or giving a speech make you look more confident and knowledgeable about the topic of discussion. It also helps your thinking process and makes you flow and seemly active. Try it and see how easy it is.

6. Watch yours and people‘s feet:

When it comes to body language, the feet is left unrehearsed though it is a good place to check for nervousness. Usually, when you are nervous, your foot movement increases. There is a lot of shuffling and crossing and uncrossing of the legs and feet. They are things we do to ease the tension. So, keep a lookout for anyone doing this while making sure you are not falling victim of it.

7. Avoid fidgeting:

No hair twirling, touching your face and neck, biting your nails etc. They are obvious signs of anxiety and nervousness. It can distract people from your message. So avoid doing these things in order not to get your audience tired of you.
