The mum is going to extremes to keep her teenager at home..... now drugs are involved~

Milly keeps sneaking out at night to party with friends. Cathy has pleaded, disciplined and had grandmother up to share her bedroom so far. Cathy is worn out but will never stop going after her daughter.

The most recent drama last weekend had Milly going through her bedroom window for the 100th time. Cathy did what good mums do, she went looking. Eventually, thanks to other parents she arrived at the right party in someone's home. To her horror the situation was dire, Milly was stoned out of her mind. Shocked and frightened for the welfare and safety of her daughter, Cathy hatched a plan.

She waited a few hours for Milly to sober up enough to listen and understand and then drove to the police station at 1:30am. The policeman gave Milly the realities of life.

If you get caught by police when taking drugs you are liable to be charged with drug related offences. This means that you have to appear in court for drug charges and there is a big likelihood that the magistrate will give you a conviction. From this time onwards you will have a criminal conviction against your name. You need to know that this will prevent you from travelling overseas to many countries. They will not grant you entry due to the criminal conviction. You also must know that a criminal conviction will stop you from attaining certain jobs.

Be very careful young lady because there is a police task force out at night to do drug busts at teenager's parties. Swallowing pills and shooting up are killing young people. We will catch you if you keep taking drugs.

Milly was suitably shocked, she had no idea that her fun partying would seriously affect her life's choices. But, is this going to be effective in the long term? Will she forget this pep talk by next weekend and think that she is impregnable?

I hope not for Milly's sake. If only her brain re-wiring would hurry up so her prefrontal cortex can start fully functioning. There is a successful future life for the adult Milly to live.
