Today has been a busy day, I was thinking to myself what else can go into my fairy garden, it took some thinking and some research on what other people had done. but in all fairness I don't want to copy anyone else's work I want mine to be unique to me and our house.

An Idea Popped Into My Head

Then something stood out to me, it was my daughters squishy, this things seem to be a craze right now, it is basically something like a sponge that is in the shape of something and kids squish them. I see them as a waste of money but my kids love them.

What you will need

A plastic bottle
Glue gun
Scissors
Air drying clay

To start

You need to top and tail your bottle and cut the bottle straight up the plastic to make a sheet, then you need to cut the plastic into this shape.

So when you put it together it looks look this.

then glue the side of the plastic to make the cone

Then you need to get your tinfoil and make a ball, this needs to be just big enough to sit in the top of your cone.

I am a little greedy so I like two scoops so I added an extra one on, and glued them both to each other then the tinfoil big ball to the cone shape.

I wanted it all to look neat and tidy so I covered the whole cone and balls in more tinfoil building it out so I knew where everything was going to go later.

Because my hands were covered in clay and my wife would kill me for touching her phone to take pictures I had to just get on with claying it over.
It was a long process but I wanted to make sure the clay covered the whole of the tinfoil so none was visible, once the clay was on it was just the matter of adding detail to the cone and the ice cream scoops.

I am so looking forward to this drying so I can give it a paint. this time i will be leaving it for a few days as the fairy wishing well was a bust, I came to it this morning and it had collapsed under its own weight, which was a little gutting as I spent a long time on it.

I did some reading and air dry clay can crack if it doesn't dry even, so I have put this one in a loose bag so air can get into it and it will be in it own little environment which should give even drying.

i am going to build the well again but this time it will be a little different as I know more than when I first built it, I suppose that if you do some reading and research what you are going to do first it will work out better the second time.
