45 Theses - How Your Life Will Change Through a Child

A child fundamentally changes the life of his parents. To what extent this is the case, one can hardly imagine before. That is why I have put together for expectant parents - and not just the - 45 theses, how the life and thinking of a child changes.

How much attention a child needs, how much work it involves, how it changes one's own thinking and the outlook on the world, and which feelings one rediscovers through a child can not be comprehended by people without children. For this reason, I have put together 45 claims based on the experiences of not very fresh parents, how most people are changed by a child - and in a loose order. Can the parents find themselves among you? I hope so! :-)

How Your Life Will Change Through a Child ...

You will develop an unprecedented, unconditional love for your child that surpasses anything you have ever imagined.

You will experience a deep exhaustion - as otherwise only crab fishermen know after a 50-hour shift.

You will have more contact with the parents of your child's friends than with most of your buddies.

You will also lose sight of some of your current friends.

You'll use your spit to remove dirt from your child's cheek, even if you thought it was disgusting.

You will develop a very relaxed relationship with the "pee" of your child - of necessity.

In your spare time, one of the most important arguments for your outfit will be whether it can be washed well - not because you do so much sport in it.

You'll wonder how hard it is to meet all the expectations your relatives have of you - now that you have children.

When your offspring takes its first steps, you will cheer it on like only your favorite team.

You'll make friends with the idea that a station wagon is not such a bad car.

You will learn that 8 o'clock on Sunday from now on is considered "well-rested".

You will get to see more of the genitals of your children than those of your partner - a good while at least.

You will be fully aware of the current nature of your child's bowel movements.

You will learn that "holidays" and "rest" are not always the same.

You will find yourself talking to adults about your partner as "the mom".

You will find yourself thinking that it also has its positive sides as the days get shorter again. So at least you get the kids to bed earlier.

You will completely lose track of which movie is just coming to the movies or which hits are currently storming the charts.

Children show parents life from a different perspective

You will rediscover the world through your child - the nature around you and the changing seasons, how fascinating an excavator can be or how much fun a bag of ice cream can do.

Through your child, you will learn to enjoy the beauty of a moment even more than before.

You will gain weight if you do not take any radical measures against it.

You'll find yourself finding justifications that you're still good at eating food that has fallen to the ground - for example, the 5-second rule.

You will notice that also in your free time others determine more and more your schedule.

From time to time, the biggest achievement of your day will be that you have succeeded in getting your child to sleep.

You will talk to your wife about whether you want to give anything at all for Christmas or you prefer to focus on the children.

You will learn that a "great Saturday night" is now an evening out with your wife without children.

You will feel permanently hungover - and all without alcohol.

You too will think that you have the cutest baby in the world. And that's good, whether it's true or not ;-)

You'll notice how easy it is to get in touch with women if you just carry around a baby or move around in the car - and you'll wonder if you could have used that knowledge sooner.

In general, you will understand much in the game of the sexes better. In the end, nature has made sure that males and females seek, come together and multiply.

You will have to adjust your sense of order to the new circumstances - if your apartment is very neat, it's hard to keep up with a child, you can just leave a lot of things, then there will be other problems.

With a child, you will be able to better understand your own parents in many ways. For others, you'll just shake your head in retrospect.

You will be as proud of every compliment your child receives from others as if it were your own.

It will take a while until you have your partner back to you all by yourself. A "triple" you have previously presented differently.

Your partner and you will more often than ever before on little things zoffen - and hopefully tolerate again. The tiredness, the life together in a small space and the disorder play a role here.

You learn to revalue little things

You'll appreciate little things again - a shower, clean clothes, a good night's sleep, a movie that you can watch without interruption, a hot meal, an evening with friends, an undisturbed dinner with your partner just look in the eyes ...

You will almost burst with pride when your child says "Daddy" to you for the first time.

You will become more cautious with your child, and even more anxious in some ways. You finally have something to lose.

Some of your attitudes will become more conservative.

You will be planning for a longer time and probably also dealing with things like life insurance, a will and possibly even buying a home.

In general, your children will make you aware of your own mortality.

You will finally be able to understand why your parents stood in the eyes of your parents at your graduation from the school and other milestones - even if you thought that was then sentimental nonsense.

Anyway, you will even be softened by your child - especially movies, pictures and reports in which children suffer, you will go to the heart.

There will be days when you like going out to work and you do not mind working longer. But you'll be annoyed a lot if you did not make it home before your kids fell asleep.

You will ask yourself far less often the question of the meaning of life, because you have now found an answer to this question.

You will feel an unprecedented feeling when your child looks at you, smiles and slowly falls asleep in your arms with a sense of security and contentment. A consciousness that you have "arrived", mixed with pride, emotion, happiness and mostly exhaustion.

Kids change everything. Shared this on PYPT in the Ramble. Steem on! ;)
