When we speak or write, we order the words in a certain way. If it were not so, we could not understand each other, because words, in addition to carrying a meaning, fulfill certain fnctions, even if we do not know them.

According to its meaning, the noun are the words that serve to name living beings and objects that have a real existence in nature (stretcher, computer, Luis) or concepts that we use when we refer to certain ideas or feelings (sensitivity, concern, situation ).

"Common Nouns"
They designate a being or object but without differentiating it from the rest of its class: school, book, dog, child.
1.Individual:
fish, pig, bird.
These nouns designate a single object when they are in the singular.
2.Collectives:
flock, skein, swarm
They are those who designate, being in the singular, a group of individuals of the same species.
Nouns own
They designate a particular being, but they do not say what it is like. They are the names of people, countries, mountains, rivers, cities, bays, peninsulas, islands, buildings ...
Example: Acapulco, Italy, Sofia.
Strategies to teach "nouns" to 2nd grade children
Show the following picture to the children.

Game: The longest list
Divide the students into groups and ask them to make a three-column box with the titles "Person," "Place," "Thing, and tell them they will have 5 minutes to complete each column with as many nouns as they can." Encourage students to share their lists with the class and reward the longest and most correct list with a small prize or a small compliment to congratulate.Select two names from each list and write a sentence with each one.
