How to reduce weight by slim rice?

Obesity is a concern for both adults and children.

Many of the female teachers in my school stay away from rice for no carb diet to lose weight.

If we google or search on youtube, keto diet is also a popular way for many to lose weight.

Growing children need their required nutrition to grow so bad diet plan may do more harm than good.

@fitinfun from steemit has very sound advice for those who want to lose weight while maintaining enough nutrition in our diet.

There is a product called slim rice that has about less than 8 calories per 100 g.

You can even find tempting advertisement like below to get you to eat slim rice.

I am a regular classroom teacher so I am not a nutritionist.

I would like to explore the idea of slim rice in this article for considerations and discussions.

Properties

Slim rice has konjac with 97% of water in it. Konjac is able to suppress our hunger and prevent over-eating that can stabilise our blood-sugar levels.

Slim rice can be too chewy when compared to regular rice and may have a strong starchy smell without flavour.

When you go youtube, you can find some videos about how we can cook slim rice to make it tasty.

Many people may just head out to hunt for slim rice with the different videos but they may miss out the lack of nutritional value of it.

Considerations

It has always been said that we must eat in moderation and we often go extreme due to our fear of getting fat.

We want to look good but it may do more harm than good when we blindly follow without doing our own research.

Konjac in slim rice may make us feel fuller but it is an appetite suppressant that deceives our stomach in starving of nutrients.

Too much pasta or rice can make us put on weight but the lack of a good diet plan to balance the nutrients needed while using slim rice can cause more harm especially for our growing children.

Since slim rice sounds so good for a no carbs diet, we may just want to research further the nutrients that we can get from other food items to add nutrients to our meal with slim rice.

Moderation is the key

There are slim pasta, slim noodles and slim rice that can easily replace our regular need for the regular ones.

As most nutritionists would tell us, we need to have a balanced diet and have a good moderation of everything.

Slim rice can be a heavily processed diet food so choosing whole-wheat pasta or brown rice sounds like a possible better choice for health.

Items like whole-wheat spaghetti is full of dietary fibre, manganese and selenium with low saturated fat, sodium and cholesterol.

We can have a tasty and healthy meal when we choose the right approach.

In conclusion

I am not a nutritionist as mentioned earlier. I guess with a simple logical mind, we can consider the pros and cons of the way we eat.

We should not follow some appealing advertisement and do what others are doing because we see how they slim down so quickly.

We should do our personal research so that we still slim down without neglecting our health.

Many of us find joy in eating and it is a way to reduce our stress. We must find ways that we can still enjoy eating while we can still promote a good balanced diet.
