Passion to Serve
The passion to serve is greatly needed in most organisations.
Regardless whether it is in the government or private sector, the passion to serve has led many to great successes in the things they do.
Below is a videoclip by Jaime Parker in TEDx Talks. She shared about connecting passion to someone’s else need.
Many great businesses started because someone saw a need of others.
Satisfy The Need
We may often have sudden craving for certain food that does not offer delivery. This need had probably sparked the idea of having a delivery food organisation like Foodpanda.
I must frankly admit that I live quite close to a shopping mall that is only about 5-min walk from lots of restaurants and eating places.
We often ordered food from Foodpanda as we are just too lazy to walk out of the house.
We are willing to spend a few more dollars to get food that may not be near us too.
Food delivery organisation has definitely captured our consumers' need.
I can literally see the deliveryman from Foodpanda every few minutes on the road.
It is an extremely popular service in my country as well as many other countries.
This has led to many other food delivery organisations in my country.
The Spirit of Excellence Service
When we do dine out, it may just be a time that we want to enjoy our food in a pleasant spirit.
Good service can enhance our experience even if the food is not extremely delicious.
Many customers may visit an eating place with great service because they had an enjoyable time during the last visit.
The first impression is really important. The subsequent impression can fortify and secure the reputation.
Many successful businessmen often look for the spirit of excellence in their employees.
These are the ones who can build up their businesses.
Educational Subject
Learning to serve is one of my son’s subjects in school. The importance of educating our young ones with the attitude to serve can make a great difference for their future career.
I believe we do know many people who may not be educated but they are successful in what they are doing because of their passion to serve.
Teachers must educate our young ones that they must learn to serve rather than expecting others to serve them.
The student who is willing to serve often have many friends around him. Everyone likes to be served and everyone likes to be near people who are willing to serve them.
The willingness to serve can become rare in our current generation of kids but we can nurture and let them see the importance and value of it.
In Conclusion
Getting students to learn how to serve through charity organisations can be really rewarding in building their characteristics.
We may have planted a seed that can grow into a giant tree for a great future.
Many who see a need and they want to serve can become very successful future businessmen.
The passion to serve can lead to many great business opportunities.
Many of the popular witnesses on the platform are people who are willing to go the extra miles to serve the members.
Their popularity is already a good example of why the passion to serve can make a big difference.
