Understanding failures are milestones to future successes

There are many things that can cause disappointment and depression to your kids.

You cannot stop problems and challenges from coming to your child but you can only prepare them to learn how to cope with the challenges with a positive attitude.

The need to constantly remind your child that he can find success even the first try is a failure.

Without failures, their successes may not be as valuable.

The process of learning from their failure and getting back stronger will build their resilience to future challenges that they may face as adults.

There were many cases where teenagers or children who decided to kill themselves as they had never suffered failures.

The world collapsed when they encountered their first failure and these children may lack the humility or attitude to regain and learn from their failures. Killing themselves is the easy solution.

Teach children not to feel shameful of failures even for successful ones will prepare them for possible future stumbles.

Get them to understand that we can never have many great inventions like the aeroplanes and lightbulbs if the inventors had decided to give up after first try.

Reflecting on what had gone wrong and how they could have done it better the next time will be a better resolution.

This increases their coping skills to face the same challenge and do it better.

Provide encouragement to them rather than scolding when children do not achieve success.

Build the character now rather than adulthood where habits and attitudes will be harder to cultivate.

Start it right and make it right.

Don’t value only successes but value failures as good opportunities for learning.

By doing so, children will learn to find every failure as a good opportunity to learn how to have a future great success.

Cultivate ‘Not to give up’ attitude for future society challenges.

You can make a difference in your children’s future and mental growth.

Don’t leave things to chances or they will become something one day when they grow older.

These are just excuses for being a lazy parent or teacher.
