Children starting their own projects at school.
The children who started the vegetable gardens at school seemed very interested in plants when I found this video, I decided that this is something I found on you tube, and had to show this to the children.

They did not know it was not about vegetables but about flowers.
We decided that we will do this after school, only for the children who wanted to see it.
When I found it, I loved it very much and enjoyed watching it.
But after the children had seen this they could not stop talking about it and said; we think we must start an interesting flower garden as well.
I said we could talk about it so that we could see if we could find a spot to fix up for flower garden. Maybe we have to put up another hot house just a small one to be able to grow these from scratch.
One of the boys sat down writing down what he saw and he decided that he would find out where they all come from.
The children said that sounds great we must go and pick and sell some vegetables to get this started as we really loved this video.
In the meantime we have to find out where to find these flowers.
Sir you have to help us, this can become a wonderful project as we can then sell the flowers to the florist and she will not be able to find them anywhere else.
Ok that does sound great, you have now started your own project, I will help but you will do all the work.
Yes sir we will really try our best, as these flowers are so beautiful and they will make a lot of people happy.
The children who did not want to see the video felt a little sad, but that was their choice and they had to live with it.
I told them to think of a project of their own and then come and tell me about it.
This seemed to make them happy and they all decided to get together that afternoon after school to talk about it.
If it was something nice and possible they can do their own project.
It just shows you that sometimes it is very easy to motivate children and they will then be more secure in themselves.
It seemed that one of the little boys had a duckling, and they decided to build a duck pond and get some ducks to look after in the flower area.
The other children were quite happy with their decision, and all was well.
