NUMBER PLACING IS SO VERY IMPORTANT.
Number place is a very important part of maths to understand.
Why, because later on we will be working in groups very further than you could imagine.
It is very important to know what a number place is, as when we do not know the number can be very wrong.
I am putting a video in here to show you how the number places work in 10 digits.
Every time we go further with the number it changes and we do not have to struggle once we know how number places work.

Number places are so much easier to understand when we put them in a little box.
Remember that we work in 10’s but we start at 0 which is a number up to 9 and that means we do have10 numbers.
When your box is full of 10 you combine them and make a group.
You can do this with anything as we call it number placing.
When we have ten we open another box to be able to go over to the ten. Once we have done this we have groups of ten so in the next number place it becomes a group counted in groups of ten.
It does work just like the first we did except the next block will be counted in tens.
So if you have more than 1 in there it does work exactly like the one but it is now in groups and we count in tens even if it is 3 we will know it is 30 as it is counted in groups of ten.

After watching this video you will really understand what we are getting at and how important place values are.
This we can use I mean the two boxes until we get to 99 then we will have to start a new box.
When going over to the next box we start counting in 100’s and we have groups of hundreds. That is also what the number place is called.
This we can go on further until we get to the 1000’s place and even further but the most important is that we understand that the first one is single number and the rest are groups.
