Introduction

In Ghana, improvisation is our main method of teaching using teaching learning materials, since we have limited resources of requisite materials to teach effectively. When it comes to science which forms about 70% of practical work, we do not have well equip laboratory for experimental work, so the teacher should make improvisation of materials, and it cut across all the subjects. So if the teacher is not well vested in designing a very nice improvisation to the lesson he/she is going to deliver, it means the lesson will not go on well.

Body

This my friend was so funny and did not prepare well for his improvise materials. He was that day teaching Science in Primary six, and the Topic was "Germination," and was under supervision. So he started with a nice introduction to the lesson of germination. He went on with the presentation of lesson, so he bend down squatting in front of the chalk board and asked the pupils: *"children!, see, see, see, I am germinating!, and as he was saying this, he was at the same time standing up gradually. The supervisor and the pupils burst into laughter, by surprise, he wasn't know what to do.

Conclusion

So our methods of teaching in Ghana needs improvisation and it is very paramount in our teachings since we do not have enough teaching aids. We entreat all Ghanaian teachers to make improvisations to their lessons as and when the lesson demands it. This will make our lessons look smart and effective. Thank you friends and welcome to my blog, @oppongk.
