The Effects Of Discrimination Among Students

Dear Brothers and Sisters, greetings to you all.

Today I want to share with you how discrimination affects our students in many ways. In educational ladder, discrimination is everywhere, even if the students complete School, they sometimes affected with discrimination in their choices of jobs.

In the classroom, not all students can be pleased with their teachers, whatever be the case others may be have some shortfalls, but in all the teacher must develop love for all of them. What affects the students most to be discriminated by the teachers and among their colleagues students are especially when it happens that they are disabled or having some peculiar disease that distinguish them from their colleagues. In this case they are likely to be mocked by the colleagues students. Some teachers may even refuse to assign them with some duties, they are sometimes isolated from group work. Sometimes the teachers fail to even distribute their questions to them. One implication of this is student performance diminishes gradually. As much as we give more room for students to contribute, share their ideas, it builds them academically.

Another are where students can be discriminated is when they are weak in learning or slow learners. They are always rejected from the class contribution. The teachers even forget to distribute their questions to them, thinking that they have no relevant answers to share with the class. In this case at their first time they make contributions, their colleagues tease them which put them off to answer questions any more. This affects these students in many ways, and one is, damping the students Spirit to make contributions in class. It can also let those student to feel inferiority complex, and make them to become docile.

In their career of education, they are denied of being admitted to their choice of School and Courses. And we know so many implications of being denied them for their rightful choice of courses and School preferences. This will lead to inability to perform in certain courses or School. The students fail to be enrolled in School that year and this retards their academic performances in School, since as long as students keep staying at home they tend to forget their past subjects that they studied. After completion, they are also being denied of the job they prefer to do per their course of studies, and this also another way that students are discriminated.

I believe to avoid this discrimination among students, all students should be treated equally and serve well. Irrespective of their age, sex, level of intelligence or knowledge, religious background, peculiar challenges I'm terms of their health status, we are all equal and there every person should be recognised as such. If the society holds that believe, then it will become something like syndrome or chronic disease that its eradication would be a menace for the society. And I think many countries are faced with this challenges, it is not students alone, it cut across most departments, especially in our work places. We should therefore take note of this attitude of discrimination in our society, community and the World at large.
