Educator 3 : The environment.
We would like to emphasize that as the main educator of our children, we are their parents, and secondly, there are their teachers.
In this sense, it is important that current and future classrooms consider space and its design as a global element for learning and pedagogical work, incorporating innovation criteria and sustainability standards, especially for the strengthening of public education. These future classrooms should consider that the design of the space is capable of enhancing the intelligence and collaborative work of the students.
The ideal classroom
I have always believed that colors convey to language, and I would like to have a classroom painted in water green and pink combined with each other, to transmit a fresh atmosphere and peace always.
Luminosity:
An ideal classroom should have good lighting, both natural and artificial, as this affects the processes of attention and / or moods of students, but taking care that no distraction is generated in the environment.
Resonance:
The classrooms must be spaces that generate an effect of amplification of the voice, either through the design or the materials used, in order to facilitate the teacher's speech without it being so exhausting for him, or it is necessary to increase the volume of the voice.
Ventilation:
The educational space must have a good capacity to regulate the temperature, keeping the heat when it is cold, and dissipating it when the temperature is too high for the comfort of the teachers and students.
Dynamic structure:
The design of a room must be constructed in such a way as to allow the teacher to reorganize it easily, as many times as necessary, according to the type of activity or dynamics that will be implemented.
Easy cleaning:
The classroom must be a place where cleaning and ordering can be an easy task, without involving such a large investment of time, personnel and school management. In this sense, the type of materials used is key, since some are much easier to clean if they get dirty, such as tiles.
Security:
The classroom must be a space that has the minimum security measures, such as access and / or evacuation routes, position of the luminaire and amplitude of the accesses, among other aspects, taking care of the integrity of the people who are in. In addition, it must be a place where the resources that remain in the classroom are always protected.
Did you know that the design of the classroom can significantly influence the learning process of every child?
Emotional education is part of the first days of school, empathy and respect for others are two of the fundamental bases on which I would like to base these ideal classrooms.
These are some recommendations of an ideal classroom to teach children, although the interest to learn of each child varies by their emotional conditions.
In this class, the final goal is not evaluation. Students, who work on different projects, are constantly evaluated throughout the process. I do not mean by this that exams no longer exist, but that these are further proof in this future project, and not the only or the most important one.
