Sometimes this is a lesson that takes a few disappointments to learn. Sometimes people don’t ever learn it as the dream of it working out overtakes the negativity and the overrides the gut feeling to walk away now.

The rosy glasses blind you to the fact that there are scammers out there and too many of them to count. Not all people are the same and consider the fact that you have bills to pay and a family to feed and they will fleece you for every penny.

Facebook is a notorious hangout for scammers, especially the make money online groups which are full of people desperate for money and a way to make a living or perhaps pay for essential medication or just a better life.

Some even come across as nice people with families of their own and profiles that are not made yesterday, even years back make you wonder that just maybe that they are legit. They are not.

No matter what the spiel, they are just out there to get money and then they will disappear with it. There will be no chance of getting it back.

If you are unsure, talk to someone about it, bitcoin mining might sound like a lucrative offer and your ‘investment’ return could cover the rent and some, but when they ask for more money to confirm the account, then more money still to do hashing so the bitcoin can be sent to your account. It’s all rubbish and spiel you know you have been had.

And when you find out that they operate from a country that is notoriously known for scams, although you do know a lot of nice and good people from there, alarm bells should be ringing loud and clear.

And when you tell them that you will tell the world that they are scammers, their Facebook account mysteriously disappears.

It happened to a friend today, so I wanted to share it with you as a valuable lesson, they lost $500.

I remember a few years back I saw this tandem bicycle in the local newspaper and it was only $30, so I happily paid that though a particular method that was a bit unusual and it turned out to be a complete scam, I was lucky it wasn’t more, but did my other half gloat and tell me I told you so about a million times over.

Scammers come in all shapes and guises, so again always keep your wits about you and if you are unsure consult a few of your friends or acquaintances to make sure you are making the right decision if you see an opportunity that is just too good to be true and stay away from the make money online groups on Facebook!
