Creating Scientist #5: Making some mermaid slime
After being focusing on confusing English words for the last days I figured why not have some fun with science and make Mermaid Slime. All my other science posts has been focusing on my son and his love for science. My daughter is young, but imagine the look on her face when she sees what she made.
But first I am going to show her this short story about a little mermaid.

- Add half a cup of liquid starch to the glue and glitter mixture.
- Ask your child what do they see.
The Science behind Mermaid Slime
Liquid starch has sodium borate which, when mixed with the PVA glue (Polyvinyl-Acetate) they form the cool stretchy substance. When two "parts" from two different items mix, and reacts, cross-linking occurred.

Die slime is awesome!! Lekker om iemand van Namibia op steemit te sien!
Looks yummy. We taught kids a few years ago and this would have come in very handy.
My daughter will love this. Thanks for the neat little project.
Glue is not good for me sis.
I liked this scientific part a lot, with the siren's baba, I used to have many mermaids in my youth. It's a fun activity for girls.
