Cycling California, Campbell farmers market

in #steemitroadbike6 years ago (edited)

Hello all, this is my road bike ride from this morning. I rode to Campbell which has a large farmers market in the downtown area. The shot below is from one of the flower farmers.

The ride was about 20 miles and 570 feet of climbing.

GPS data is from a Garmin Vivoactive HR and uploaded to Strava

The city of Campbell closes off the street to the downtown area for all of the vendors / farmers.

On one end of the street is arts and crafts. There was some interesting glass pieces of shells and apples.

They had a variety of small vegetable plants that you can grow yourself

Lots of strawberries from the local farmers. Just south of Santa Clara is Watsonville which grows a lot of berries.

Fresh squeezed juices.

One weakness that I have is pastries. I do not eat much flour based foods, so I really miss pastries!!!

After the farmers market, I was heading towards Vasona lake and there was a scheduled 10k run. At the start/finish area, they had a petting area for kids. One of the animals was a baby Llama, you don't see these everyday...

The Galaxy S8 does much better when there is a variety of colors instead of one really bright color, at least that is my experience. This is the same shot as above, just a little wider.
