Steemit sandwich contest week 40: meat spiral baked bun

Greetings to all my dear readers,
When I travel to western countries, I usually see a large variety of grains, seeds and different flour in their bread they have for sale. However I never seen before a bread that is stuffed with ingredients. Even when I watch American tv series, they would get a plain bread and cut it into halve , then spread it with either jam or some slices of processed meat. However in my country, bread that are stuff could be found in every bakery. During oldent times, Chinese usually stuffed sweet or savoury ingredients in a steam bun called bao. This technique is then quickly learn by the Japaneses and Koreans. Thousand of years later, Japanese people's started to learn that western people bake their bread instead of steaming, and they quickly adopted that technique. Like all human being, we always recreated something to our liking so did the Japanese. European bread are known to have a crunchy crust and a chewy interior, the Japanese modified it so that that crust in as soft as the inside, while the inside is ligh, soft and fluffy. What I have made today is an inspiration from that, but ofcourse putting some of my Malaysian twist into it.

Mmm Looks like a tasty treat indeed! Simple yet effective!

More convenient than a traditional sandwich don't you think? Te filling won't fall off! :)

I don´t know if you know, but in Venezuela we have a similar traditional dish called Pan de Jamón. I am shocked by the similarity of the preparation. In our case, we use ham, bacon, raisins, green olives and in some cases cream cheese. You should try it sometime. I suggest you look for the recipe and you will see what I'm talking about. Here´s my vote my friend. Greetings from Venezuela.

Interesting facts there @sabreu, I never knew that. Thanks so much for introducing this to me :)

looks delicious :-) !!! well done!
