100 DAYS OF POETRY: DAY 69 - The Fool’s Journey (Cont’)
By Stephen Martin
Spitting him/her out,
To turn in cycles,
Never ceasing;
A self propelled vortex,
Feeding on whomever
touches the circle.
by the spirits
of fortune,
Smiling on some,
Then frowning,
Dumping them in the dirt.
A mighty sword,
Wielded with integrity,
Natural swoops cut imbalance.
indicts
the many falling brethren,
Making no distinction,
No calculation,
No distraction;
A surgical procedure,
A declaration
of law.

How far back does this "fool" poem go back. I understand your efforts and see the value in the words but can't quite get it. I guess I am the fool but the comment section seemed so empty so I felt inspired to say something... so here it goes:
The Jester approached the throne...
The king looked upon him intently as the Jester spoke
The king fell off his chair and died laughing
Little did he know his brother was next in line
Killed by the baker's poison rhyme
Leaving the Jester the only one close enough to take the throne
When he got there it was not his own
The queen bumped him off
when she played her trump card
Awesome contribution. The poem was written over 11 posts. Two trump cards a day from the major arcana. Starting with 0 and ending at 21.
