Listen to the lyrics of your life
carefully so you can learn them by heart
pay attention to the rhymes for they
will allow you to thrive

Don't forget the lyric of your life
because you wrote them yourself
through times of joy and sorrow
of bliss and pain

Some stanzas will be explicit
some not so much

Sing along that tune
when you feel lost
be faithful to your own tablature
and don't do auto-tune
never.

For your ballad is unique
and personal and the choir
is comprised of your loved ones
and also your foes.

I hope some singer with good lungs
sings your life's song
with dignity and emotion
in a star studded beach-front
when you are long gone

Let's hope the lyrics of your life
linger like an earworm
for generations to come
and when new people write their their lives' songs
perhaps the catchy parts of your tune will go on and on
blended in these new songs
that they will think to be one
hundred percent their own.
