AN UPDATE FROM THE STEEMJET TECH DEPARTMENT | STEEMJET FAN PAGE

The Steemjet community has grown tremendously, lots of efforts has been made to bring our aim into light so you shouldn’t be surprised when you keep seeing updates and innovations.
The community now has a website connected to the Steem blockchain courtesy of the development team, although it’s still in development but it’s worth the look. You would love how far it has progressed. Take a quick peep here.
In our bid to keep the jet high, we expanded our horizons and made a massive promotion on twiiter. The H.O.D, @gutzygwin gave a detailed summary and the progress on it here. There you will see the twitter account he created and contributions from other tech members. The video made by @kilatunzii has helped a lot in making the promotion worthwhile.
Enough of what we’ve achieved, the focus is on what we are planning to achieve. We are looking at seeking a larger audience, Twitter has been wonderful so far but it has limits on the way promotion is being carried. Facebook would be a better place and since they raised their ban on cryptocurrency, it’s a green light for us. Very soon, more awareness and awesome videos for promotion would be carried out there. More members for us and more talented individuals coming in.
As we all know, being a Steemian is a prerequisite to being a Steemjet member, and the Steemit platform can’t be well understood just by glancing through. The new members needs to be enlightened about the blockchain before getting the full knowledge of what Steemjet entails. I've attended to lots of questions from new Steemit members and Steemians that are also new to Steemjet. The activities, the fun, the ideas, the latest developments, and the projects on Steemjet can’t be gotten from the Steemit platform and our website alone, you will literarily go through all @dimimp’s post and ask lots of questions before keeping tracks. This strain gave birth to the Steemjet fan page.
We are hoping on building a standalone website not connected to the blockchain, it will be incorporated to the Steemjet website. A button can be clicked on it that will direct a user to the fan page. The fan page is where all the fun happens, that’s where all newbies will be directed to first. They get to understand the blockchain, Steemit and Steemjet there.
Things to expect on the fan page
- About Steemit: Everything you need to know about Steemit will be made available here. Our pilot @lordjames is conversant here, he can give us all we need to know about it here. The new members can just head over to the fan page and glance through.
- About Steemjet: Everything you need to know about Steemjet will be made available here. @empato365 has written a lot on it already, we need those writings of his on the fan page.
- Steemjet updates: There are times when a contest goes on and yet members wouldn’t be aware till the result date. There are times we organize giveaways and programs on the discord server and only few members gets to benefit from it. The fan page will let you subscribe for updates, and everything going on Steemjet will be forwarded to you via mails.
- Celebrity page/face of the week: One of our aims is to make every one of us celebrities, how about we have a page we celebrate and acknowledge celebrity for each week? @uche-nna's face on this week's celebrity page would have been great right?
- Contact Section: You might want to speak to a mod or an SF member, the fan page gives you easy access. A contact section would be provided where you can send them mails, the conversation might continue on mails.
- Art exhibitions: Steemjet has had lots of art works, they shouldn’t be forgotten just like that. We would showcase quality arts every day. The art departments might be responsible for that. @mbj is always available.
- Others: The steemjet media exhibitions, the Stemmjet dancers videos, the Steemjet artist music videos will be displayed on our fan page each week.

Note: The Steemjet website still remain intact. It's connected to the blockchain and would be used for carrying out activities in the Steem blockchain. You can read Dimimp's post there, comment and make a post.
We are looking at creating something that will focus on the activities we do on Steemjet, a website that will bring out the celebrity in us. It's just a page built on our website. And when clicked it's redirecting to the fan page.

The fan page would be designed to be 100% user friendly, it will be plain and simple. Designs and prototypes would be provided later.
