Steem Monsters - 2-Way Market Started!

As I said 2 days ago, I'm very impressed with the game that @aggroed and @yabapmatt developed call Steem Monsters. It is really cool and getting cooler by the day as they start to write the rules and distribute more information about it.

I've had success at having a relatively good tight market for commons as I have now reduced the spread from $0.03 sbd BID and $0.06 sbd OFFER... To now it is $0.04 sbd BID and $0.055 OFFER. That means the spread is only a $0.015 and it has been cut in half in 2 days.

I have now started the market also for the "Rare Monsters". You can see the prices below, but again I started with a traditional 1 x 2 market.

Note: You can come back every day to the post as I update them many times a day

I Need Some Steem Or Steem Dollars (and willing to buy them direct from you)

With the recent price drop and the potential of this Steem Monster game, I am willing to buy some Steem or Steem Dollars to put some more liquidity into this 2-way market. If anyone wants to sell to me direct (and bypass the ridiculous costs of going through the blocktrades via other cryptos), then I will buy and pay using paypal to pay directly. I won't charge a mark-up and we will use the price that is listed on either steembottracker.com or coinmarketcap.com. I'm not looking to "game" the system, so we will use a reasonable price based on the going rates. Also in an effort to minimize the stress on both parties, while I am willing to buy a few hundred, I will limit each amount per transaction to say $25 per trade (pending both side confirming completion).

So if you want to sell me any Steem or Steem Dollars, just message me here or on discord and I will work with you directly!

Commons (Up to 10 commons per order) Updated June 13

Bid or "Sell Price" $0.04 sbd

Ask or "Buy Price" $0.055 sbd

Rare Monsters (New Market Listing- Updated June 13)

Bid or "Sell Price" $0.15 sbd

Ask or "Buy Price" $0.275 sbd

Rare Summoners

Bid or "Sell Price" coming soon
Ask or "Buy Price" coming soon

Epics

Bid or "Sell Price" coming soon
Ask or "Buy Price" coming soon

Finally I will be happy to work with the existing volume dealers to include their inventory and tighten the prices. If you are interested in participating, I will explain to you how that would work!

Great post Dave. As soon as I get more time I look forward to sitting down and getting my head wrapped around this whole new steem cards game. As usual, people are always coming up with amazing ideas on this platform.

I'm proud of you @mudcat36... you are getting the hang of it! ;)

You did it perfectly! :D

ps.. and thanks for the comment too!

I would love it if you could explain how to flat out buy cards from you, the price, and where there is a list of cards to buy. I've not been able to keep track of everything going on and everyone else selling.

Yes I will work something up for you to explain not only me, but how everyone is doing it too... complete with a list of how the cards are separated ;)

Why don't you just buy on Bittrex, I use this all the time. I think some people suggested the same in the comments. Where did you get the 10% tax from? Maybe I've been missing something!>!?

steemmonsters are cool. Kind of addictive.

ok cool... yes quite a few have mentioned that... I will try to open a bittrex account tomorrow... that is awesome! And I didn't mean a literal tax, I just mean that the 10% toll that is taken by blocktrades both in and out is like a tax... I didn't know that bittrex could go direct to steemit wallets.

Thanks for the info, I will try to get started with them tomorrow!

I think they charge a 0.1 steem flat transaction fee to withdraw. And it's almost instaneous.

I got it done... Even got a coinbase account opened too... I have to wait the 6 days to transfer the ETH over to bittrex, but I'm now able to transact... Thanks for the help and encouragement!

it looks like you timed it about right.... I am doing some myself now and learned something in this whole process too... glad to get the help from everyone.

You got a 50.00% upvote from @payforplay! Please consider delegating steem power to @payforplay. We are currently sharing 100% of our profits with our delegators. That's correct, 100%! It doesn't get better than that. It is essentially running your own bid bot without doing any of the work. Steem power can be delegated here: https://steembottracker.com/delegation.html

@ilovepoorpeople yes tomorrow is a big day... I will know how it all worked out soon!

I'm very impressed that it was as quick for you to get it all set up... you did it all in less than a week... very good turnaround imo!

you received an up vote from danlupi with voting power of 51.61%. Estimated dollar amount of $2.1

@ilovepoorpeople yes it was good. I'm a bit surprised it happened so smoothly after I got the understanding of how it worked.

Good to hear!

I tend to use Kraken to make my initial purchases. (I occasionally use coinbase but they charge much more); then I transfer to btrx then buy btc thn steem.

Its all a bit complex but we get there in the end.

@revisesociology ut ohhh I am using coin base and bittrex... Maybe I will look at karken next... Hell I don't know how everyone keeps up with all these passwords and codes... Since I started stemmit I have like 25 different sets of things I have to remember and write down, and then remember where I wrote them down 😱

Kraken has much lower fees, although you have transfer in from your bank which costs about £10, so I only use them when I can afford to buy more than £500 of crytpo.

I just have a handful of passwords and cycle them, occasionally expiring an old one and making up a new one.

Or you could get a password manager, also 2FA?

where do you get your receiving address of steemit to send it from bittrex to your steemit account? I have the steem now in bittrex, now getting it to steemit is the last step ;)

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks :)

I encourage you to write an e-book about the topic. That would help newbies. :)

Thank you @mountrock! Which topic, making the market in steem monsters or doing the transfer of cash into steem from the outside world? Both are challenges that I am digging into right now ;)

Just basic stuff... tutorial on how to crypto. Start with 1st ebook "Bitcoin for newbies" and then 2nd ebook "Introduction to Steemit" and so on. If you are into it, you will probably have to spend ages writing volumes of books explaining the whole crypto space :)

@mountrock that is a great idea... I have just gone through the process so it is fresh in my mind... Thanks for the idea! :)

You're welcome. If you need a review I would be happy to do so :)

@mountrock that is a very kind offer, I will definitely consider it! :)

Won't sell you any sbd's or steem, but you can have my vote instead :P

That's very cool @palikari123... Believe me I don't want anyone to sell that isn't already going to... But if they are going to sell this saves both of us the hassle (plus the 10% fees on both sides!)... And thanks for the upvote, even though just your approval is all I need! :)

I definitely agree that the 10% fee is way to steep of a price to pay... Glad you found a better way to do it, you helped your brother too :)

@ilovepoorpeople ... your mom didn't raise a fool... I know because I've always admired her good kids!

haha... no she didn't... thanks for the pay back too! I appreciate you taking care of it so quickly :)

@ilovepoorpeople of course, thanks for the loan... it was very handy :)

Wow this a grate idea. At least one would overcome the hastle and strees involve in buying from blocktraders.

Come to think of it, you will be using the same exchange/price rate with that of blocktraders which is good.

Thank you @maxijgcomm... I agree completely... I'm glad you notice that, it is a big factor that many don't discuss.

Yea, I look forward to seeing how it work out and I will be following up for more updates.

Regreds...

I got both the bittrex and coinbase opened today... I have a 6 day wait to move the ETH that I bought, but only had a $5 charge total on the purchase of ETH with cash... so far so good ;)

Wow good to hear. Positive result is on its way...

But for the charge don't you think it is much?

@maxijgcomm yes I think it is too much... But I'm trying a new method and so far so good... will find out the final fees tomorrow ;)

Ok that's cool. Would love to know your new discovery.

@maxijgcomm It was actually very simple after you know what to do... There is no tutorial, but I will be happy to walk you through how to do it... Much cheaper and very fast... Just a few quirks to learn and its good to go :)

I look forward to seeing how this progresses. I'll likely join in eventually however right now there just isn't a lot of LIQUIDITY in the market from what I can see. Not a lot of buyers and sellers yet. But I think that will change of course.

I agree with you on this @monsterworld... It is still very early and their is very little activity on a total dollar basis, that's why I am starting somewhere to learn and help it develop (if they don't do it directly by @yabapmatt)... I am glad to see you paying attention and you are welcome to join me (or anyone) as it always makes the market better if we have more "market makers". :)

why not buy SBD and steem through blocktrades at least their price is also reasonable and ok

actually that is the problem for 2 reasons... First the way that you have to open a separate crypto account means lots of paperwork and hassle (since I'm not selling I have no need to do that)... And second is that I don't think 10% is a reasonable trading cost. In fact, it is one of the highest fees I've seen in the trading space in my 30+ year history of the markets... That is 10% to both the buyer and seller, which essentially cuts out a huge chunk of the market. In my opinion this is one major reason that steem has not achieved its potential. That is a very steep fee to trade for us common folks.

So there isn't a way to import steem from the market to your account without going through blocktrades? You can't buy on Bittrex and then send to your account?

After starting out with Blocktrades, I quickly learnt that this is the way to go!

So is there a tutorial for how to transfer from Bittrex to Steem wallet? One of the reasons I like Steem transactions internally is that they're so easy to do (other than copy/pasting the long password). It's much more complicated to do transactions outside of the confines of Steem.

Damn, the bittrex wallets for STEEM/SBD are offline!

I think it's just a case of 'withdraw', putting your Steem account name in 'account', and choosing the amount to send.

If you don't mind confirming that, I would appreciate it... I have heard about the blocktrades fees and really has stopped me... I will check into bittrex if that works seamless, thanks for the information Asher.

And ps... check to make sure I sent you all the last order... I sent them but always like you to check and make sure!

With the wallets out of action, i cant do the screenshots I'd like, but it's a pretty simple process if I remember.

Yes I got the last set of 10, just sent you .6 for more commons :)

Bittrex wallet for SBD and STEEM is offline now. Blocktrades is way costlier which I learned when I made this tool. I also recommend buying on Bittrex and withdraw to your account on Steem by paying 0.01 SBD or STEEM.

@ramta shared a tutorial for this some time a go I have done it several time and it is easy fast and not expensive

I would like to find a way to bypass the 10% tax each way... that is pretty steep and if Asher and you are right Blondie, then I would be happy to take that route!

Hey Dave! How are you? I just came back from my internship and I'm already on my last year. And will be doing my thesis film within the year. I'm just passing by. Keep it up man :)

Hey @qyugmo! Its great to see you! How was the internship? And great that you are on your last year, time flies so make sure you enjoy it! And what is your thesis going to be on, what is the topic you will do your film on?

Its great to have you check in and love to know I can still stay connected to you through here even if it is months at a time in between! Make sure you get that film that you do sent to me so I can view it, I'm excited to see what you come up with ;)

Hi Sir @davemccoy! The internship was great! I'm currently doing my research for my upcoming film so that I can connect it with my thesis. I hope you can check out my recent post about a review for my favorite tv show. Do you think I can post a blog about my research for this project? :)

@qyugmo I will definitely go check out your post and when I finish up with my comments. And of course you can post a blog about this research... I think that would be fascinating and many would agree :)

Congratulations @davemccoy! You have received a vote as a way to thank you for supporting my program.

@tuanis thank you very much... that is very nice of you :)
