Steem Monsters Can't Quest Learned Something New

So I can't do my quest for 3 days cause I made a mistake. See I had to change my quest due to water team at level 1 and I am in gold 3. That won't work. So I end up with fire got hem at level 2 but wow life teams keep me from winning. So I figure lets go level up. I buy a level 3 Malric Inferno and then I add my level 2 to it just enough to get a level 4 but it happens that if the timer is on the bigger card you get stuck with it. Bummer for me 3 days of gold that had good for me cards I can't get them.
