In Steemmonsters the summoner card has to be selected as first card , the order of the summoned monster cards is completely free.
- Melee Attack Cards: Under normal circumstances, the attacker must be in the front row.
- Sneak Ability Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.
- Snipe Ability Targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.
- Ranged Attack Cards: The character attacks from a distance. Unable to attack from the front row
- Magic Attack Cards: Characters with magic attack may do damage from any row.

Gold Foil Cards are limited versiions of the normal cards.
Gold foil cards will be able to be used in battles and tournaments just like regular cards, and are planned to be exactly the same as their regular counterparts as far as stats are concerned.
