Steemmonsters - Burn Cards report #3 - Burn cards increase to $1.20

Hi everyone. So far, this campaign had burnt more than $40 worth of steemmonsters cards, roughly about 2000 cards in total. It is encouraging to see many players participating in a collective effort to reduce supply of the rewards cards. I am not sure if this is having any effect at all, but just trying to do what I can at the moment.

The good news is that, in recent days, there was a nice pump of Steem price. The mavericks vote from @steemmonsters is now worth $2.11. After curation, that is about $1.60 in author payout. Therefore, I would like to request future participants to burn a total of $1.20 to be eligible for the upvote. You will still get an almost 30% value compared to selling on the market.

There had been talks about the upcoming DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) tokens where players can play steemmonsters and earn them. The earned DEC can be used to buy items within steemmonsters like new skins, etc. The tokens can also be used to exchanged for @steemmonsters upvotes. In view of that, there is a likelihood that the existing upvote service by sm might be completely removed.

But until then, I would like to continue this smburn exercise. So keep smburning those rewards cards if you hate them!
