Alpha Commons Up to 0.06!

Now that the alpha packs have sold out, we are seeing what constricting supply is doing to the market. Cards that were down to 0.02 - 0.03 a week or so ago are now going for 0.06. But will they stay there?

I was having a bit of a debate the other day in the discord chat about beta commons. I was making the argument that beta commons will hit the floor at 0.01 while others were saying they will be priced like the alphas were around 0.03.

My thinking is that with 900,000 packs, 3 times as many as the alphas, the pack strippers will have three times more supply to dump while they are looking for those high-dollar gold foils. So I'm expecting the supply of beta commons to overwhelm the demand and bring prices all the way down to 0.01.

Alpha prices will be affected as well.

On the one hand, we have exclusivity of being alpha and the experience boost of alphas over betas. Given the choice at the same price, you're better off with alpha cards than beta cards because alphas will level up faster. Those will be positive pressures on the price of alphas.

On the other hand, a beta card of a given level will perform the same in battle as an alpha card. So the huge supply of betas will be a negative pressure on the price of alphas.

Time will tell what the market decides!
