Neutral rare cards analysis.

Welcome fellow steemians to another analysis of the neutral splinter, this time is turn for the rare cards, we have here some of the most used cards in the test. I'm going to add here the links to the previous articles:

And now today's cards:

Cocatrice:

A very used card in many teams, this card fits perfectly on most teams because of his speed and the ability of dodge which allows it to evade many melee and ranged attacks, obviously isn't a card to play if you think that your rival is going to rely much on magic attacks. The mana cost of two is very useful in some splinters to fill the teams, his maxed health is five. This card has been nerfed and now his speed will be of six, anyways I think that this card is good enough to be played.

Enchanted pixie:

The most used of the neutral card until now, with the nerf it has lost the protect ability which made this card so popular, anyways the inspire ability is good enough to make this card very useful, I think that will be used in many splinters, especially in those teams that rely on the melee attacks. With the Hydra is one of the best cards of the neutral splinter.

Cyclops:

The Cyclops isn't a very attractive card, his mana cost makes him compete with much better choices than this monster in all the teams, I really don't see this being a game changer, we will see if it has some impact in the game but I don't think so by now.

Well dear readers, this weekend we will start playing!, then we will be able to really know if these analysis are right or not. The next article will be the last, with the neutrals epics and legendary cards. See you then.

Sort:

What I found interesting in some test matches is using the Cocatrice in last position. Has double dodge, so it is a pretty good counter against sneak attacks, in order to protect your important range and magic units.

It's a good strategy, the cocatrice is so vulnerable to magic attacks that you don't want it at second position against the most of teams, in the last position only could be damaged magically by the Gold dragon, the Elemental phoenix or the Goblin sorcerer, so is less probable to receive there a magical attack. Anyways, with the speed lowered we will see if keeps being so important.

This video shows exactly what I was talking about:

The Cocatrice got hit by sneak only 3/13 times. That's 10 wasted attacks that could've otherwise decimated the back ranks.

Appreciate the analysis! Your posts have been a help in figuring out which cards and abilities may end up being relevant. I see Neutral cards were used a lot in beta testing, looking forward to your final analysis post..

Thank you @agr8buzz is always nice to read comments like this. Yes the neutral cards are being very important in many teams, they fill their weaknesses and balance the game a lot, I'm excited to see some new team buildings and strategies. I'm sure that the game is going to give us some surprises with the incorporation of the regular players.

¡Felicidades, has recibido un voto del EmeeseeseTrail!
