Steem Monsters Season 6 Ends - Season 7 Begins and a Quick Update!
Season 6 of @steemmonsters is over and season 7 is now in full swing. A lot of new cards that were recently introduced into the game along with some tweaks and changes, have certainly changed how the game is being played once again, and it’s almost a blast from the past scenario from the first season where magic fireballs are being thrown left right and centre :P Not entirely, but certainly quite an increase from the previous few seasons!
This is a bit of a quick update on happenings and achievements since the last time I wrote anything about Steem Monsters - around a month or so ago. Nothing huge to brag about, but hey - we can only try and do our best to compete against the big boys and girls:)🤞
After some fine tuning of my deck and some more practice at the somewhat higher levels in season 4, season 5 brought some reasonable improvement in my final ladder position as well as some much needed experience against more competent players and the chance to unleash some of those extra card abilities that I hadn’t really experienced up to that point.
I’m glad to report that I had a HUGE improvement from season 5 to season 6. I finished season 5 in 41st position and made the giant leap all the way up to 39th in season 6 - Wooohooo 😂😂😂.
Now all I need to do is find some more time and energy to play a lot more matches like many other players in the top bracket! Well, I mainly focus on completing my Daily Quests for the rewards cards and then end my session the large majority of the time. That’s roughly 10-15 matches per day on average. The reality is, that I can’t consistently compete or win against those players at the very top for the main reason that they are simply much better than me in general, as well as having a much more varied and complete deck to compete with. I do however have my occasional wins against them, which is a nice confidence booster!
I do also occasionally dip my toe into a few tournaments when time permits, and thankfully I have managed to save my best for some of the bigger tournaments up to now. Now that’s good timing, and let’s hope that can continue from this point on!
Since my last update, I did have another nice result in the 1000 sbd Steem Monsters invitational, where I tied for 7th place, which meant I made the money, woot!
