Yesterday I was making what some thought to be bold claims in the Steem-Monstersdiscord which amounted to a challenge / bet from @aggroed in which I happily accepted. The terms of this bet was created by @aggroed.

Here's my wager. You ( @rentmoney ) can't grind out $100 in rewards in a season starting with $100 in investment. Spend your $100 on as many new accounts as you like and purchase packs to meet your goal. Start with clean accounts. earn rewards until the season ends. If you earn 50 packs I'll pay you the $100. If not then we're happy doing business with you.
Tracking The Bet
I will create a daily post as an update to my progress that will contain the following information. All the info I provide can be verified via the blockchain so if anyone feels like checking into my claims they are more then welcome to.
- Names of the accounts I am using
- Total amount of funds spent
- Total ROI
- Daily number of boosters won ( Daily and league rewards )
- Total number of boosters won ( Daily and league rewards )
- The total length of time it took to earn the daily packs on each day
- Total length of time it took me to reach the challenge goal once / If finished

you got 11 days,
if 10 accounts and 10 dailies per day its 10 packs,
so if you play just all accounts without reward from league you complete challenge
Correct, but it may be easier said then done.
Only time will tell. Currently I am only using 5 accounts but will be upping that to at least 6.
If u need help with grind i can help with one acct if thats not against the rules of the bet.
I do appreciate the offer but I will decline. I don't think its fair to have someone other then myself playing on an account related to this bet. I will have to play them myself.
Spend $ 100 on 10 accounts. in this case, the 5 * 10 task is the most real.

I assume he can't take the packs sell them or open the cards sell them and help facilitate his ability to win at higher levels?
Otherwise sadly the method would probably be to rig loosing a ton of games (probably with bots) so he can continue to win at lower levels.
I also do not think overall this is a hard thing to achieve. Doesn't take me very long on a couple of accounts i have and i'm overly cautious about having a good winning percentage AND watching the games to learn. If he skips those things it'll take him even less time.
I am not using bots and am against the use of them for the most part. I can do what ever I like with the packs won. Which includes opening them and leveling up. The bet is to prove that a $100 investment using starter packs alone can yield massive returns in relation to the investment. I can not spend anymore then $100 in my initial investment and can't buy single cards from the market.
That being said, I won't be selling any packs.
You're gonna open them up and use them could be really handy... specially if you get a GFL then game over because you can sell it and buy what you need to complete the rest of the bet. My understanding is that you're to get $100 in packs ... the content itself isn't part of the bet. Right?
What do you mean by " the content itself isn't part of the bet ". I assume you mean the value of the content inside the boosters. If so then no the total value I end up with in cards do not affect the bet in anyway. I need to get 50 boosters and spend no more then $100 in my initial investment. I can use my rewards earned along the way. Which would include leveling up / selling. Since buying on the market is against the rules I would only be allowed to buy boosters from any profits selling my cards found in boosters.
However even though it is within the rules of the bet that I can sell cards earned in booster packs I will likely not do this. I certainly wouldn't be selling any GFL if I hit one. The point of the bet ( on my end ) is to show that a decent size return is possible with a minimum investment. $100 invested while opening and selling content is still $100 invested. It cost me nothing to open boosters and sell cards earned via daily rewards.

I like this bet... I'm leaning toward @rentmoney taking this home though.
Assuming the "earn 50 packs" in @aggroed's "wager" is referring to season end rewards only, there's still a bit of a challenge.
The straightest path here being to create 10 accounts and getting each account to Silver 2 for the season end reward of 5 booster packs per account.
With 11 days left until season end, each account will earn 11 booster packs each from the daily quests. With some luck on obtaining summoners and a few good monster cards, you should be able to combine/trade cards between the 10 accounts, while being mindful of cooldowns.
The only real challenge is getting each account to Silver 2.
Getting into Silver will be easy... but going from Silver 3 to 2... some RNG, team formation luck and enemies fleeing is what you need, @rentmoney!

So one account brings you over 14 Booster Pack per season if you have three accounts that adds up to 42 Packs + Season rewards per Account and than you have won the Bet. Doesn't sound to hard to win...good luck!!!

Season 3 has already started so I don't have 14 days anymore. I will only be allowed to use the cards in the starter pack and what-ever else I can attain from the daily boosters and funds I have left of the max $100 limit. Buying from market / private sales excluded.
Its still not very hard to achieve I think you will win the Bet.
