Do giveaways attract new players

The short answer is yes because giveaways are one of the efficient way to get people interested in your game. I myself started to play steemmonsters because once I won a gold foil common alpha card from the giveaway and I thought why not give it a try and there's nothing to lose. Card giveaways makes people interested in the game game especially if people win valuable cards. But one thing I don't like doing giveaways is that most of the time same people participate in the giveaways.
