The use of dysphemism nowaydays

According to (Perez: 2007) “Dysphemism is a pejorative expression or distasteful, direct, rude, derogatory, insulting. Examples of dysphemism: quack doctors; stretch the paw or kick the bucket for dying; it is mottled by doping; back or buttocks by the tail. In the variety of discourses expressions are used as: disabled, blind, resentment; social groups excluded, vulnerable or marginal, poor or miserable; gays by gays or lesbians; etc. No doubt in everyday life, from day to day, these cited expressions are part of the communication of human beings”.

Speaking as a interactive process

The interactive process begin with the sender that is encode a thought into a message and the message is conveyed by a channel that could be a voice, letter or email. Then the receiver decodes the message and the feedback come in the sender. The process pass in a context or environment.

Also this theory test effective when the receiver interprets the message well and the sender intended, although this is not always the case able to interference. “Interference (noise or barriers) is inserted in the middle of the process. It can be physical such as background noise or a technical breakdown, physiological such learning or comprehension difficulties and psychological such as attitudes of the sender or receiver.” (Barnett & O’Rourke, 2011, p.25).   The interactional communication approach invites to think about the speaking process in general and specifically the use of dysphemism from ethnographic methodology. The use of interactive strategies help participants speak in interactions for forming working groups where each member feedback in the social construction of knowledge. In an interactive environment, participants share opinions, discuss ideas, and offer different points of view.
