Don't be Anyone's Racehorse.

I wake up around five in the morning for my usual morning run.Running by the road side.I saw that the day has already started for most people.

At first glance. You might be tempted to believe that they are so excited and enthusiastic about their jobs that they are willing to sacrifice those few precious last hours of sleep to start the day.

But nothing could be further from the truth.A large percentage of the early morning commuters main reason for waking up this early is to avoid the traffic hold-up that usually collects at the time when the rest of the world wakes up to go about their daily activities.

One of those early risers was my uncle. At the time when i was spending the weekends with him and his family.I barely had a chance to see him because the nature of his work dictated that he be at his office before seven in the morning each day. This he religiously did for the span of his whole career until his retirement.

Now he is having trouble with his pension and depends on the goodwill of his extended family, myself included to help him with his expenses.

I used my uncle as an example because like him. Most people's time are not their own but instead is devoted to the building of other people 's businesses, companies, corporations or service to the government all for a monthly salary that is soon eaten up by the rising cost of living.Add to it the mounting debt.

It is sad that people give up the best years of their live working for others and neglecting to work for the most important person in their life "Themselves".

Like a race horse that is only conditioned to tire itself out on the race track to boost the networth of it's owners until they are left broken and depleted at which time they are cast out and replaced by fresh horses. That is exactly the situation most people find themselves in without realizing it.

I have nothing against those having a salaried job.My problem with them though is not saving a percentage of their salary and investing it in worthy ventures that would grow in strength and support them when their current jobs can no longer accomodate them.

I would be stuck in the same career mindset. If i had not had a run in with Robert Kiyosaki's life changing book "Rich Dad Poor Dad". I also have a job that i go to everyday but i only see it as a means to a blissful end. That is i use it to finance both my offline and online ventures

It helps that i am currently unmarried so i don't have much responsiblities to speak of although that is sure to change in the nearest future.

Hopefully.I can retire early with my future wife with lots of money in the bank and frequent well deserved vacations to exotic locations around the world.

My advice to the working class/career men and women is :
Don't run yourself ragged into the ground like a race horse building an empire for someone without having something of your own to retire to in your later years.
