Hello friends cinephiles!. I present my retro-movie segment of today to relive those good memories of those movies and that marked a beautiful time.
Today I will share "Schindler's List", is a American film of 1993 directed and co-produced by Steven Spielberg based on the dramatic and historical novel The Schindler's Ark by the Australian writer Thomas Keneally. This starring Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes
Synopsis
Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson) is an ethnic German businessman member of the Nazi party, comes to the city determined to make his fortune and begins by bribing various officers of the German armed forces and the SS. Schindler acquires a factory to produce enameled utensils by hiring Jews and using his money to finance his business by taking advantage of his condition. After a while he realizes that his "employees" see him as a savior and he ends up becoming fond of them, saving more than a thousand Polish Jews during the Second World War from dying in the Holocaust.

Curiosities:

-At the end of the film, a shot of Schindler's real tomb is seen, in the Cemetery of the Just Men, in Jerusalem.
-The Schindler list was the most expensive film in the history of black and white cinema, and the one that raised the most money.
-The movie poster is a large hand holding a small hand with a red sleeve, presumably refers to Schindler's desire to have saved the girl from the red jacket.
-The person who puts the flowers on the stones in the final credits is Liam Neeson and not Spielberg as people believe.
-For the role of Oscar Schindler aspired actors Tom Hanks and Kevin Costner, although it was finally Liam Nielson who starred in it, since the way he was involved in the character captivated Spielberg.
-The actor Ralph Fiennes, catapulted to fame with this film, gained 15 kilos to play the bloodthirsty Amon Goetz, head of the Sonderkommando of Austchwitz.
-Spielberg wanted to film the film in black and white because all the information that was known about the Second World War and the Jewish Holocaust was seen in black and white, as a documentary.
-Roman Polanski refused to direct this film, he was not prepared to face the hard times he lived in his childhood.
-The film had an initial budget of 22,000,000 and achieved a worldwide collection of 321.306.305.
-In the middle of the eviction of the Krakow ghetto, a German soldier sits at the piano and plays the prelude to the "English Suite No. 2" by the German musician Johann Sebastian Bach.
-The director Steven Spielberg was unable to get permission to film inside Auschwitz, so the scenes of the extermination camp were actually shot out of the doors on a stage built as an exact copy of the site
-The location of the filming Steven Spielberg filmed this film in the streets of Krakow (Poland). Likewise, he used the exteriors of the Schindler factory and the luxurious apartment that Schindler would use as a private home in that city.
-When Oskar Schindler kisses the Jewish woman at his birthday party, his hands jump from his arms to his face, possibly an error of deliberate continuity, made with the purpose of highlighting the intimacy of the moment.
-Martin Scorsese rejected the opportunity to direct this film in the 80s, because he thought he could not do a good job being a Jewish director.
-Oliwia Dabrowska, who plays the girl dressed in red, remembers that Spielberg himself advised him during the shoot to wait to be 18 years old to see her, she did not do it and saw her at 11. She says she came to feel that "it was very horrible" and that she did not want to see her again in life she even admits some resentment towards her parents for letting her be part of the movie. Later as a woman, she could understand and feel good about her role and she said: "I had been part of something I could be proud of."
