To complete the theme of project-based learning, we can not ignore Annual Programming, the Economic Budget, or the Memory.

Once the documents have been prepared so far, it is necessary to include the Work Plan that the school institution will attend during each course, specifying and detailing the practical aspects that imply the immediate application of the set of decisions adopted.

This specification is included in the ANNUAL PROGRAMMING, which will contain, basically:

  • Schedule of the institution or school center and criteria for its preparation.
  • Educational Project of the Center, or modifications that have been introduced since the previous course.
  • Curricular projects of the stages taught by the center or modifications made to them.
  • Complementary and extracurricular activities scheduled for the course.
  • Administrative memory that integrates the data of the general organization of the school center (situation of the facilities, equipment and statistical data of the beginning of the year.

The elaboration of the Annual Programming corresponds to the directive personnel of the scholastic institutions; will be informed by the Teachers or the Teaching Team and approved by the School Council, which must respect, in any case, the technical aspects. As is logical, this Programming will be available to members of the educational community.

Another important document, whose Project must be approved by the School Board, is the Economic Budget of the school. Its preparation is executed by the secretary and its management must be authorized by the Director. Likewise, the School Board must be constituted by a commission, formed by the Director, the Secretary, a teacher and a parent of students.

Its specific function is to administer the budget and inform the School Council about any economic issue that is entrusted to it.

At the end of each school year, it is necessary to reflect on what has been done during the course, having as an express reference the content of the Annual Program. Therefore, the final evaluation of the planned project for the course will be carried out and, therefore, the analysis of the degree of compliance with it; will be in charge of those responsible for the school, which will be recorded in a document called MEMORY.

It is interesting to have a correct final evaluation of the operation of the center, carried out with rigor and adjusted to reality, since it forms the basis for the programming of the next course. In fact, if the results achieved and positive for the school are recorded in it, with clarifications about its process of achievement and also, what has not been achieved and the explanation of its causes, it is better to know what decisions are made to reinforce the already consolidated and overcome the errors or failures occurred during the school year.

The well-conducted evaluation should provide valid and reliable data to support any further action. In order for Memory to be profitable, effective and motivating, it must be carried out systematically, based on the documents prepared at the beginning of the course and the partial evaluations carried out during the course. The results obtained will be reflected in all the sections programmed for the operation of the center.

It is important that the evaluation contained in the Report does not remain in the mere exhibition of results, but that, from these, proposals are formulated is one of the advantages for the action that should be followed in the following course: that should be taken advantage of, even more so since it is known that it is supported by a group of the educational community represented in the School Council.

The Report is the document that includes the internal evaluation of the action project planned for the course; constitutes, then, the base of the programming for the following course.
