STEPPING OUT IN FAITH.

As we get started in the race of the year, in seeking for prosperity, well being, open doors and breakthroughs, we must begin by hearing from God. God is the great shepherd that makes us lie down in green pasture.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. - Psalm 23:1-3 KJV.

A direction from him is necessary to set on the path of progress. Every successful move of children of God begins with "thus saith the lord."

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. - Roman's 8:14 KJV

Stepping out in faith is necessary for we to obtain our divine purpose in life. Abraham heard the Lord and he moved. He certainly didn't get all the information he needed but at least heard the Lord say that he will show him the place. This is where faith comes in. If you have the slightest of idea from God about where to go or what to do, immediately take steps in that direction.

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9 By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. - Hebrews 11:8-10 NIV

Amazing, such great faith. no wonder the Bible says Abraham is the father of faith. He trust completely on God on everything. As we take initial steps, more direction and leading will come from the Lord. God help us to trust in Him completely.
