Spotify Employees make Five Times more than Musicians!

This is plain as night and day right here. Check this out.

Music Business World did some digging and found out some good ole fashion statistics that don't lie. They break out graphs and everything showing how much spotify employees make annually from 2009-2018. As of 2018 the average salary of a Spotify Employee is $132,000

Rolling Stones mentions Median U.S. Artists bringing home 25,000 annually. This is 5 times less than a Spotify Employee. While we are the ones making the music, busting sweat, blood and tears, the employees are bringing home 5 times the amount. That is a statistic that jumps out.

Why are Spotify employees making more $ than artists? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Will it work if it was reversed? These are questions i would love to get answers to. For now, all i know is that maybe, just maybe, instead of raising the salaries for average employees, why don't you raise the median income for average music artists?
